ARMY

ICI Americas, Incorporated, Wilmington, Delaware, was awarded on September 5, 1995, a $5,009,859 firm fixed price contract in support of defense conversion efforts and under the Armament Retooling and Manufacturing Support (ARMs) Act of 1992, reutilization of the Army's core competencies, facilities, equipment, and critical skills will be used to produce commercial TNT at the Volunteer Army Ammunition Plant. This award will provide for the reactivation of one of the TNT lines at the plant, as well as modification of other facilities for manufacture of commercial TNT. Work will be performed in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and is expected to be completed by July 31, 1996. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on July 15, 1995. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions and Chemical Command, Rock Island, Illinois (DAAA09-95-G-0003).

AIR FORCE

I-NET, Incorporated, Bethesda, Maryland, is being awarded a $102,000,000 Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract for various quantities of video teleconferencing equipment under the Integrated Management Communications Program. Contract is expected to be completed September 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 39 firms solicited and 4 proposals received. Solicitation began June 1995 and negotiations were complete August 1995. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts is the contracting activity (F19628-95/D-0019).

Texas Instruments, Incorporated, Defense Systems and Electronics Group, McKinney, Texas, is being awarded a $12,025,296 Firm Fixed Price contract for design and test of two upgrade kits for the AN/AAQ-17 Gunship Infrared Detention Set applicable to the AC-130U and

AC-130H aircraft. Contract is expected to be completed June 1997. Contract funds will not

expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio is the contracting activity (F33657-95/C-0067).

Science Application International Corporation, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, is being awarded a $25,000,000 Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract for architect-engineering services in support of environmental remediation and compliance activities at Arnold Air Force Base, Tennessee. The work will be performed at Science Applications International Corporation, Tullahoma, Tennessee. Contract is expected to be completed September 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 40 firms submitting proposals. Solicitation began August 10, 1995 and negotiations were complete August 29, 1995. Arnold Engineering Development Center, Arnold Air Force Base, Tennessee is the contracting activity (F40650-95/D-0007).

CH2MHill, Incorporated, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, is being awarded a $25,000,000 Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract for architect-engineering services in support of environmental remediation and compliance activities at Arnold Air Force Base, Tennessee. The work will be performed at CH2MHill, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia Contract is expected to be completed September 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 40 firms submitting proposals. Solicitation began August 10, 1995 and negotiations were complete August 29, 1995. NAVY

Loral Aerospace Corporation, Loral Aerospace Services, Chesapeake, Virginia, is being awarded a $9,326,730 modification to previously awarded contract N61339-91-C-0140 to exercise an option for logistical support services for the Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES) family of training devices. Work will be performed in Chesapeake, Virginia, and is expected to be completed by June 1996. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured by a Request For Proposals (RFP) and three offers were received. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Training Systems Division, Orlando, Florida, is the contracting activity.

The Austin Company, Renton, Washington, is being awarded a $5,238,730 firm-fixed-price contract for design and construction of a reserve center addition at the Naval and Marine Corps Readiness Center, Alameda, California. Work is expected to be completed by September 1996. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 250 proposals solicited and six offers received. The Engineering Field Activity West, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, San Bruno, California, is the contracting activity (N62474-94-C-7385).

Loral Communications Network, Sterling, Virginia, is being awarded a $37,610,841 fixed-price, indefinite-delivery requirements contract for commercial long distance telephone and operator services at U.S. Naval Station, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The contract performance period is 120 months. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
