as part of a $22,481,883 firm fixed price contract for software
maintenance/rental. Work will be performed at Fort Meade, Maryland, and is

technical engineering support of guidance systems for the Polaris (United
Kingdom), and TRIDENT I (United States) and TRIDENT II (United States and
United Kingdom) . Work will be performed in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and is
expected to be completed by September 1997. Contract funds in the amount of
$57,459,904 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract
provides purchases for the U.S. Navy (94.6%) and the government of the United
Kingdom (5.4%). This contract was not competitively procured. The Navy's
Strategic Systems Program, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity

The Krempp Lumber Company,* Jasper, Indiana, is being awarded a $6,973,000
firm-fixed-price contract for construction of an electro-optics center at the
Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, Indiana. Work will be performed in Crane,
Indiana, and is expected to be completed by May 1997. Contract funds will not
expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively
procured with 85 proposals solicited and six offers received. The Naval
Facilities Engineering Command's Field Activity Midwest, Great Lakes, Illinois,
