ARMY
Martin Marietta Defense Systems, Pittsfield, Massachusetts, was awarded on
February 1, 1996 a $6,743,000 modification to a firm fixed price contract for
110 remanufactured transmissions for the Bradley Fighting Vehicle System. Work
will be performed in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and is expected to be completed
by November 30, 1998. Of the total contract funds, $306,500 will expire at the
end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on
August 18, 1994. The contracting activity is the USA Tank-Automotive Command,
Warren, Michigan (DAAE07-94-C-0829).
AIR FORCE
Beech Aircraft Corporation, Wichita, Kansas, was awarded on January 5, 1996 a
$84,786,545 fixed price incentive contract to provide for manufacturing
development of the Joint Primary Aircraft Training System (JPATS) aircraft,
associated data, technical orders, training, and the Ground Based Training
Center (GBTC). This system's primary mission will be to train entry-level Air
Force and Navy student pilots in primary flying. Contract is expected to be
completed November 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the
current fiscal year. There were 68 firms solicited and 7 proposals received.
Solicitation began May 1994 and negotiations were complete May 1995.

Lockheed Corporation, Marietta, Georgia, is being awarded a $17,444,939 face
value increase to a cost plus award fee contract to provide for a Stores
Station Tester applicable to the F-22 aircraft. Contract is expected to be
completed July 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current

Rockwell International Corporation, Seal Beach, California, is being awarded a
$7,744,882 face value increase to a fixed price incentive contract to provide
for 23 upgrade kits for the 1122 Antenna on the B-1B aircraft. The work will
be performed at the Palmdale Modification Center, Palmdale, California (50%)
and Rockwell International, Tulsa Division, Tulsa, Oklahoma Contract is
expected to be completed July 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end
of the current fiscal year. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker Air
Force Base, Oklahoma, is the contracting activity (F33657-81/C-0210, P01702).
DEFENSE INFORMATION SYSTEMS AGENCY
COMSAT Mobile Communications, Bethesda, Md. is being awarded a $5,438,808
indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for International Maritime
Satellite (INMARSAT) usage services supporting INMARSAT B, C and High Speed A
and B terminals. This is a competitive award: the requirement was released
under the Defense Information Systems Agency Acquisition Bulletin Board. Two
