AIR FORCE
General Electric Company, Cincinnati, Ohio, is being awarded a $55,500,000
face value increase to a firm fixed price contract to provide for 14 spare
F118-GE-100 engines applicable to the B-2 aircraft. Contract is expected to be
completed November 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the
current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force
Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-86/C-2040, P00050).
ARMY
The University of Southern California, Los Angeles, California, was awarded on
February 9, 1996, an increment (appropriation number and dollar value will be
issued with each delivery order) as part of a $15,507,759 (potential value,
basic with 4 one-year options) cost reimbursement contract to provide necessary
personnel, materials, facilities, and other services required to provide the
Advanced Research Project Agency and the Department of Defense research
communities with access to the U.S. semi-conductor industry for integrated
circuits, printed circuit boards, and advanced packaging fabrication. Work
will be performed in Los Angeles, California, and is expected to be completed
by June 30, 2018. There was a broad agency announcement on April 7, 1995, and
one bid was received. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply
Service-Washington, Washington, D.C. (DASW01-96-D-0008).
NAVY
Tecnico, Chesapeake, Virginia, is being awarded an $18,368,823 indefinite
delivery/ indefinite quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee completion contract for
scientific, engineering and
technical services in support of Naval ship and submarine fire-resistant
material applications,
fire protection and survivability improvements, and personnel protection and
survivability programs. Work will be performed in Chesapeake, Virginia, and is
expected to be completed
by February 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current
fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Annapolis
Detachment, Carderock Division,
Naval Surface Warfare Center, Annapolis, Maryland, is the contracting activity
(N00167-97-D-0017).
