DEFENSE INFORMATION SYSTEMS AGENCY
AT&T Corporation, Washington, DC was awarded on February 14 a $270 million
fixed price indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for the Defense
Information System Network (DISN) Transition Contract. The contract has an
effective date of March 1, 1996. The contract covers leased telecommunications
services, customer premise equipment and transition services to DoD users
necessary to meet end-to-end information requirements. The contract was
awarded on a sole source basis necessary to maintain service until the full
DISN competitively awarded contracts, currently in evaluation, are made in the
summer of 1997. The Defense Information Technology Contracting Office is the
contracting activity (DCA200-96-D-0043).
ARMY
ITT Corporation, Electro-Optical Products Division, Roanoke, Virginia, is
being awarded $26,013,565 as part of a $242,689,693 (potential value, including
options) firm fixed price contract for Enhanced 3rd Generation Night Vision
Devices and associated spares for AN/AVS-6, AN/PVS-7D, and AN/PVS-14 systems
with image tubes. Work will be performed in Roanoke, Virginia, and is expected
to be completed by September 30, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the
end of the current fiscal year. There were 14 bids solicited on September 30,
1995, and two bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army
Communications and Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, New Jersey
(DAAB07-96-C-J209).
Best Group, Incorporated, Bingham Farms, Michigan, is being awarded a
$5,150,303 firm fixed price/time and materials contract for property
liquidation and asbestos removal. Work will be performed at Joliet Army
Ammunition Plant, Joliet, Illinois, and is expected to be completed by March
31, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. There were 81 bids solicited on June 1, 1995, and two bids received.
The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armaments, Munitions and Chemical
Command, Rock Island, Illinois (DAAA08-96-C-0007).

NAVY
Litton Guidance and Control Systems, Northridge, California, is being awarded
a $5,667,402 ceiling-price-order contract for multiple items for the
AN/ASN-150A Tactical Navigation System on SH-2G aircraft for the government of
Egypt under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program. Work will be performed
in Northridge, California, and is expected to
be completed by March 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the
current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval
Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is the contracting
activity (N000383-96-G-M128).
STANDARD Missile Company, McLean, Virginia, is being awarded a $6,438,978
modification to previously awarded contract N00024-96-C-5304 for production of
21 STANDARD Missile - 2, BLK IIIA All Up Rounds, for the government of Canada
under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program . Work will be performed in
McLean, Virginia (5%), Tucson, Arizona (61%), Bristol, Tennessee (26%) and
Chattanooga, Tennessee (8%), and is expected to be completed by April 1998.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This
contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command,
Arlington, Virginia, is the contracting activity.
