CONTRACTS
AIR FORCE
Lockheed Martin Corporation, Ft. Worth, Texas, is being
awarded a $66,500,000 firm fixed price contract to provide for
six F-16C aircraft and associated Alternate Mission Equipment.
Contract is expected to be completed November 1999. Contract
funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base,
Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-96/C-2025).
Marvin Engineering Company, Incorporated, Inglewood,
California, is being awarded a $25,981,545 face value increase to
a firm fixed price contract to provide for 1680 Advanced Medium
Range Air-to-Air Missile Rail Launchers applicable to the F-15, F-
16, F-18 and F-22 aircraft. Contract is expected to be completed
December 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the
current fiscal year. This effort supports foreign military sales
to Finland, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Greece and Denmark.
Aeronautical Systems Center, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, is
the contracting activity (F08626-93/C-0021, P00013).
CORRECTION:
Yesterday's announcement of a contract being awarded to
McDonnell Douglas Corporation had an error in the amount of the
contract. It was reported as $24,780,000. The correct amount is
$247,800,000. The obligated dollar amount for FY 1996 is
138,300,000.
NAVY
Mid Eastern Builders, Incorporated, Chesapeake, Virginia, is
being awarded a $7,429,700 firm-fixed price contract for
construction of a general purpose warehouse. Work will be
performed in Norfolk, Virginia, and is expected to be completed
by November 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of
the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively
procured with 134 proposals solicited and 13 offers received.
The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic Division,
Norfolk, Virginia, is the contracting activity (N62470-94-C-
4116).
ARMY
Holston Defense Corporation, Kingsport, Tennessee, is being
awarded a $20,692,000 modification to a cost plus fixed fee
contract for the manufacture of 940,545 pounds of HMX Grade B, 80
Screen explosive. Work will be performed at the Holston Army
Ammunition Plant, Kingsport, Tennessee, and is expected to be
completed by February 28, 1997. Contract funds will not expire
at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source
contract initiated on May 6, 1996. The contracting activity is
the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions and Chemical Command, Rock
Island, Illinois (DAAA09-92-Z-0008).
