CONTRACTS
ARMY
The Institute for Defense Analysis, a not for profit
organization, Alexandria, Virginia, is being awarded a
$20,234,169 modification to a cost plus fixed fee contract for
the following: Task orders will be directed to individual issues
of urgent, near-term and long-term interest in the planning and
management of defense and national security related programs.
Projects will be related to application of science and technology
in national security matters; exploration of issues in defense
systems research and development; computer and software
engineering; evaluation of military systems in development or
proposed, and of military forces using those systems; analysis of
manpower, readiness, and support issues; research into the costs
of military systems, personnel, and activities; research in
strategy, military planning, international security, and related
defense policy management; assessment of worldwide, regional, and
local balances of power and stability and the factors affecting
them, including their technical, economic, and military aspects;
and operational evaluation and analyses of systems, forces, and
military organizations in tests, wargames, field operations, and
actual combat. Work will be performed in Alexandria, Virginia,
and is expected to be completed by September 30, 1998. Of the
total contract funds, $993,000 will expire at the end of the
current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on
October 1, 1993. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply
Service-Washington, Washington, D.C. (DASW01-94-C-0054).
United Defense, LP, Santa Clara, California, is being
awarded a $13,485,571 modification to a firm fixed price, cost
plus fixed fee contract for systems technical support for the
Bradley Fighting Vehicle Systems; to exercise the second year
Bradley ST5 options for firm fixed price technical data package
maintenance and cost plus fixed fee, level of effort systems
technical support. Work will be performed in San Jose,
California, and is expected to be completed by May 31, 1997.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. This is a sole source contract initiated on February 1,
1995. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive
& Armaments Command, Warren, Michigan (DAAE07-95-C-X030).
The Boeing Company Defense & Space Group, Seattle,
Washington, is being awarded a $4,200,000 increment as part of a
$23,153,832 cost plus fixed fee contract for armored systems
modernization, the Signature Management Program. Work will Be
performed in Seattle**, Washington, and is expected to be
completed in March 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the
end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract
initiated on February 2, 1996. The contracting activity is the
U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Michigan
(DAAE07-96-C-X160).
AIR FORCE
Rockwell International Corporation, Seal Beach, California,
is being awarded a $20,000,000 time and materials contract to
provide for emergency repair services as required on the B-1B
aircraft. Contract is expected to be completed September 1997.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received.
Solicitation began October 1994 and negotiations were complete
December 1995. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker Air
Force Base, Oklahoma, is the contracting activity (F34601-96/D-
0164).
NAVY
Knoll Incorporated, East Greenville, Pennsylvania, is being
awarded a $9,589,602
firm-fixed-price contract for office furniture for the Naval Air
Systems Command Integrated Program Team Building at Patuxent
River, Maryland. Work will be performed in East Greenville,
Pennsylvania (85%) and Patuxent River, Maryland (15%), and is
expected to
be completed by May 1997. Contract funds will expire at the end
of the current fiscal year.
This contract was competitively procured by a request for
proposals with seven offers
received. The Naval Air Systems Command, Arlington, Virginia, is
the contracting activity

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY
Caribbean Needle Point, Inc.**, Penuelas, Puerto Rico,
was awarded on May 15, 1996, a $11,203,542 firm fixed price
indefinite quantity contract for woodland camouflage enhanced hot
weather trousers. Thirty five proposals were solicited and five
were received. Work will be performed in Rincon, Puerto Rico and
is expected to be completed by July 1997. Funds will not expire
at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Personnel Support
Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is the contracting activity

Lajas Industries, Inc.**, Lajas, Puerto Rico, was awarded
on May 15, 1996, a $23,046,590 firm fixed price indefinite
quantity contract for woodland camouflage enhanced hot weather
trousers. Thirty five proposals were solicited and five were
received. Work will be performed in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico and is
expected to be completed by July 1997. Funds will not expire at
