CONTRACTS
DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY
J. W. Holding Group & Associates, Inc.*, Gary, Indiana, is
being awarded a $37,355,564 firm fixed price indefinite quantity
contract for various food and beverage items. Ten proposals were
solicited and three were received. Work will be performed in
Gary, Indiana; Cloquet, Minnesota; and Albany, New York; and is
expected to be completed by May 1997. Funds will not expire at
the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Personnel Support
Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is the contracting activity

AIR FORCE
Loral Aerospace Corporation, Sunnyvale, California, is being
awarded a $7,384,898 face value increase to a cost plus award fee
contract to provide for hardware and commercial off-the-shelf
software for the Archival Segment of the Air Force Satellite
Control Network. Contract is expected to be completed December
2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current
fiscal year. Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air
Force Base, California, is the contracting activity (F04701-96/C-
0018, P00002).
Lockheed Technical Operations Company, Incorporated,
Sunnyvale, California, is being awarded a $72,485,543 cost plus
award fee contract to provide for requirement analysis,
architecture planning, system engineering, on-site integration,
horizontal engineering information systems management and
configuration and data management in support of the Satellite and
Launch Control Systems Programs Office, Air Force Space and
Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, CA. Contract
is expected to be completed May 2002. Contract funds will not
expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two
proposals received. Solicitation began January 1996;
negotiations were complete May 1996. Space and Missile System
Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, California, is the
contracting activity (F04701-96/C-0028).
ARMY
Hewlett-Packard Company, Rockville, Maryland, and Digital
Equipment Corporation of Greenbelt, Maryland, are each being
awarded an indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery firm fixed
price contract, DAHC94-96-D-0006 and DAHC94-96-D-0007
respectively, together valued at $593,750,000, under a
competitive procurement for technologically advanced commercial
off-the-shelf workstation computers, peripherals, and software.
The equipment is designed to provide the Defense Department and
civilian agencies users with desktop processing power needed for
high-end applications, numerically intensive processing,
demanding graphics applications, office automation, multimedia,
and video teleconferencing. Work will be performed by Digital
Corporation in Salem, New Hampshire, and by Hewlett-Packard in
Exeter, New Hampshire; Santa Clara, California; Mountain View,
California; Colorado Springs, Colorado; Boise, Idaho; Germany and
France, and is expected to be completed by September 30, 1999.
Each company is receiving an increment of $250,000; appropriation
number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order.
Of the total contract funds, $500,000 will expire at the end of
the current fiscal year. There were 75 bids solicited on April
25, 1995 and six bids received. The contracting activity is the
U.S. Army Information Systems Selection and Acquisition Agency,
Alexandria, Virginia.
GRC International, Vienna, Virginia, is being awarded a
$100,000 increment as part of a not-to-exceed $30,000,000 firm
fixed price, indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery/task order
contract for Business Support Services-Federal Information
Processing Support. The contractor will provide technical
business support services related to information resources
technologies and studies. Specific types of services are similar
to: activity based costing, IDEF studies, business process
reengineering, software programming, hardware/software
maintenance, telecommunication services, electronic facilitation,
functional economic analysis, IV&V, information and engineering,
and system/subsystem analysis. These services will support the
National Guard Bureau, Army National Guard, and Air Force
National Guard. Work will be performed in the United States, the
District of Columbia, the Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico, and is
expected to be completed by April 30, 1997. Contract funds will
not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 100
bids solicited on September 15, 1995, and 17 bids received. The
contracting activity is the National Guard Bureau, Falls Church,
Virginia (DAHA90-96-D-0005).
BDM Engineering Services Company, McLean, Virginia, is being
awarded a $100,000 increment as part of a not-to-exceed
$30,000,000 firm fixed price, indefinite quantity/indefinite
delivery/task order contract for Business Support Services-
Federal Information Processing Support. The contractor will

NAVY
Hughes Space and Communications Company, El Segundo,
California, is being awarded a $17,850,000 modification to
previously awarded contract N00039-88-C-0300 to exercise an
option for Global Broadcast System (GBS) on the last three Ultra
High Frequency Follow-On Satellites, F8, F9, and F10. Work will
be performed in El Segundo, California, and is expected to be
completed by December 1998. Contract funds will not expire at
the end of the current fiscal year. The Space and Naval Warfare
Systems Command, Arlington, Virginia, is the contracting
activity.
Rockwell International Corporation, Autonetics Electronics
System Division, Anaheim, California, is being awarded a
$12,183,647 modification to previously awarded contract
N00024-95-C-5209 to exercise an option for the AN/USQ-82(V) Fiber
Optic Data Multiplex System for DDG 83 and DDG 84. Work will be
performed in Anaheim, California (40%), and El Paso, Texas (60%),
and is expected to be completed by August 1998. Contract funds
will
not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea
Systems Command, Arlington, Virginia, is the contracting
activity.
