CONTRACTS
ARMY
Harris Corporation, Melbourne, Florida, is being awarded a
$5,622,974 modification to a firm fixed price and time and
materials contract to upgrade and refurbish the antenna at each
heavy terminal/medium terminal worldwide, used in the Defense
Satellite Communications System. This acquisition is for the
exercise of various spares (contract line options) under Option
Year IV, in support of the heavy terminal/medium terminal
modernization program. Work will be performed in Melbourne,
Florida, and is expected to be completed by December 30, 1999.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. There were 60 bids solicited on June 17, 1991, and four
bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army
Communications and Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, New Jersey
(DAAB07-92-C-A507).
AIR FORCE
R.G. Ross Construction Company, Incorporated, St. Louis,
Missouri, is being awarded a $7,069,000 firm fixed price contract
to provide construction of an addition and associated alterations
to the commissary at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Contract is
expected to be completed June 1997. Contract funds will not
expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 59
firms solicited and 3 proposals received. Solicitation began
November 1995; negotiations were complete January 1996. Air
Education and Training Command, Randolph Air Force Base, Texas is
the contracting activity (F41689-95/C-0011).
NAVY
Lockheed Martin, Government Electronic Systems, Moorestown,
New Jersey, is being awarded a $25,302,536 cost-plus-award-fee
contract for AEGIS Training and Maintenance/ Logistics support.
Work will be performed in Dahlgren, Virginia (70%), Wallops
Island, Virginia (15%), Moorestown, New Jersey (9%), and Cherry
Hill, New Jersey (6%), and is
expected to be completed by May 2001. Contract funds in the
amount of $800,000 will
expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was
not competitively procured.
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, Virginia, is the
contracting activity

Lockheed Martin Tactical Systems Incorporated, Tactical
Defense Systems., St. Paul, Minnesota, is being awarded a
$38,628,789 firm-fixed-price requirements contract for the Navy's
AN/UYK-43(V) computers (maximum of 221 computers), with related
accessories, spares sets, upgrade kits, software, and services.
Work will be performed in Clearwater, Florida, and is expected to
be completed by May 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the
end of
the current fiscal year. This contract combines purchases for
the governments of Japan (2%), Spain (9%), Australia (7%), and
Germany (2%) under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program.
This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea
Systems Command, Arlington, Virginia, is the contracting activity
