CONTRACTS

ARMY

Miltope Corporation, Hope Hull, Alabama, is being awarded a delivery order amount of $1,924,742 as part of an $80,685,434 (estimated cumulative total) firm fixed price contract for Soldiers' Portable On-system Repair Tools (SPORT), not-to-exceed 10,000 each over a five year period. The SPORT is comprised of two major components: the Controller/Diagnostic Aid (CDA) and the Instrumentation Expansion Chassis (IEC). The CDA operates much like a laptop computer with instrumentation capability. The instrumentation provides the Army the capability to disgnose and repair weapon systems while the computer provides the capability to display technical manuals electronically. The IEC augments the CDA capability by allowing use of more sophisticated instrumentation cards. Work will be performed in Troy, Alabama, and is expected to be completed by April 5, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 214 bids solicited on October 31, 1995, and 12 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama (DAAH01-96-D-0021).

Sierra Technologies, Incorporated*, Buffalo, New York, is being awarded a $24,271,979 modification to a firm fixed price contract for three Aircraft Survivability Equipment Trainer (ASET) IV Systems. Work will be performed in Buffalo, New York, and is expected to be completed by February 6, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. A notice of intent to exercise unpriced options was made on March 18, 1996. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama (DAAH01-93-C-A018).

AIR FORCE

International Consultants, Incorporated, Dayton, Ohio, is being awarded a $49,200,000 firm fixed price contract to provide for Environmental Engineering Services in support of the Offices of Environmental Management of both the 88th Air Base Wing and the Aeronautical Systems Center, both at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Contract is expected to be

completed October 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 46 proposals received. Solicitation began August 1995; negotiations were complete April 1996. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright- Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33601-96/D-W017).

NAVY

W. M. Schlosser Company, Incorporated, Hyattsville, Maryland, is being awarded a $10,696,000 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of an explosive test facility complex which entails five bomb proof buildings inclusive of site work, ancillary sheds, and incidental related work at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division, Indian Head, Maryland. Work will be performed in Indian Head, Maryland, and is expected to be completed by January 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 36 proposals solicited and five offers received. The Engineering Field Activity Chesapeake, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N62477-94-C-0025).

C. E. Wylie Construction Company, San Diego, California, is being awarded a $16,217,472 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of three three-story dormitory buildings, including site work and the demolition of three existing three-story concrete dormitories and incidental related work at Travis Air Force Base, Fairfield, California. Work will be performed in Fairfield, California, and is expected to be completed by December 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 216 proposals solicited and eight offers received. The Engineering Field Activity West, San Bruno, California, is the contracting activity (N62474-94-C-7479).

Westinghouse Electric Corporation, Machinery Apparatus Operation, Schenectady, New York, is being awarded a $17,865,000 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-96-C-4053 for Naval nuclear propulsion components. Work will be performed in Schenectady, New York. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Virginia, is the contracting activity.
