CONTRACTS

NAVY

Gichner Shelter Systems, Dallastown, Pennsylvania, is being awarded a $6,349,735 modification to previously awarded contract N68335-95-C-0133 for procurement of 176 mobile maintenance facilities for various uses, such as electronic shops, test sets, and medivac units. Work will be performed in Dallastown, Pennsylvania, and is expected to be completed by December 1997. Contract funds would not have expired at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured by a request for proposals and five offers were received. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey, is the contracting activity.

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Mobil Oil Corporation, Fairfax, Virginia, is being awarded a $5,600,738 fixed price with economic price adjustment contract for gasoline and diesel fuel. Work will be performed in overseas locations and is expected to be completed June 30, 1998. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Fuel Supply Center, Fort Belvoir, Virginia is the contracting activity (SP0600-96-D-1016).

ARMY

Olin Corporation/Winchester Division, Independence, Missouri, is being awarded an $11,592,722 modification to a cost plus award fee contract for the operation and maintenance of a government owned/contractor operated facility. Work will be performed at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, Independence, Missouri, and is expected to be completed by September 30, 1996. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 17 bids solicited on October 3, 1984, and seven bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions and Chemical Command, Rock Island, Illinois (DAAA09--91-Z-0009).

Contraves, Incorporated, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is being awarded an increment (appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order) as part of a $15,715,917 firm fixed price contract for the procurement of high performance tracking platforms. The Manned Kineto Tracking Mount (MKTM) and unmanned Launch Area Thedolite System (LATS) are state-of-the-art mobile elevation over azimuth dynamic platforms capable of carrying multiple sensors for use in test and training range applications. They are capable of being remote controlled and can carry up to 600 pounds of instrumentation as designated by the end user. Applications include the documentation of events using optical instrumentation, ground truth verification of flying objects through position measurements, uplink and downlink of test data, and surveillance applications. This is a 5 year requirements contract for an estimated 30 units with delivery orders based on test and training needs. Work will be performed in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and is expected to be completed by June 4, 2001. There were 29 bids solicited on October 14, 1994, and one bid was received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command, White Sands, New Mexico (DAAD07- 96-D-0105).
