CONTRACTS
ARMY
Harris Corporation R.F. Communications Group, Rochester, New
York, is being awarded a $15,038,340 increment as part of a
$30,076,680 cumulative total firm fixed price contract
(letter contract to be definitized) to provide 15 Rear Link
Communication Systems (engineer, furnish, install, make
operational and maintain), also provide training, spares, and
technical support for the Saudi Arabian National Guard. Work
will be performed in Rochester, New York, and is expected to be
completed by March 28, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at
the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source
contract initiated on June 7, 1996. The contracting activity is
the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command, Fort
Monmouth, New Jersey (DAAB07-96-C-L027).
Hitech Incorporated, East Camden, Arkansas, is being awarded
a delivery order of a $5,999,961 firm fixed price indefinite
quantity contract to provide X-ray inspection of Hydra 70
rockets. Work will be performed in East Camden, Arkansas, and is
expected to be completed by December 30, 1998. There were ten
bids solicited on April 4, 1996, and five bids received. The
contracting activity is U.S. Army Armament, Munitions and
Chemical Command, Pine Bluff, Arkansas (DAAA09-96-D-0005).
Lockheed Martin Vought Systems Corporation (previously Loral
Vought Systems Corporation), is being awarded a $47,875,265
modification to a firm fixed price contract for Exercise FY 96
Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) as an Unpriced Contractual
Action (UCA) quantity of 70 Army Tactical Missile System Block IA
Guided Missile and Launching Assemblies and Warranty, and 72
Block Missile Variants in support of Foreign Military Sales
(FMS). Requirement (amount obligated is 50% of option value).
Work will be performed in Dallas, Texas (98.2%), and Horizen
City, Texas (1.8%), and is expected to be completed by July 31,
1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current
fiscal year. This is a sole source contract solicited on October
28, 1994. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Missile
Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama (DAAH01-92-C-0038).
NAVY
Lockheed Martin Federal Systems, Manassas, Virginia, is
being awarded a $10,700,000 modification to previously awarded
contract N00024-95-C-6535 for accelerated introduction of
integrated towed array, hull array, sphere array, and other ship
sensor processing improvements for SSN 688, SSN 688I and SSBN 726
class submarines via Acoustic Rapid Commercial-Off-The-Shelf
Insertion (ARCI) hardware and software. Work will be performed
in Manassas, Virginia, and is expected to be completed by
November 1998. Contract funds in the amount of $8,700,000 will
expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea
Systems Command, Arlington, Virginia, is the contracting
activity.
Lockheed Martin Corporation, Communications Systems
Division, Camden, New
Jersey, is being awarded a $14,962,617 firm-fixed-price contract
for four AN/STC-2(V) Integrated Voice Communication Systems for
DDG 79, 80, 81, and 82 to meet FY 95 program requirements of the
Arleigh Burke DDG 51 Class Aegis Shipbuilding Program. Work will
be performed in Camden, New Jersey, and is expected to be
completed by June 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the
end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not
competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command,
Arlington, Virginia, is the contracting activity (N00024-95-C-
4079).
Tumpane Services Corporation*, Vancouver, Washington, is
being awarded a $8,750,836 firm-fixed-price, indefinite quantity
contract for all labor, supervision, and equipment to provide
multi-function facilities support services and incidental related
work at the Naval Air Station Whiting Field, Milton, Florida.
This contract contains options which, if exercised, could bring
the cumulative not-to-exceed value of the contract to
$40,257,878. Work will be performed in Milton, Florida, and is
expected to be completed by September 1997. Contract funds will
not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract
was competitively procured with 86 proposals solicited and five
offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command,
Southern Division, Charleston, South Carolina, is the contracting
activity (N62467-94-D-0853).
