CONTRACTS
DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY
BP Oil Company, Cleveland, Ohio, is being awarded a
$5,490,508 fixed price with economic price adjustment contract
for mid-grade unleaded gasoline; premium unleaded gasoline;
regular unleaded gasoline; burner oil no. 2; low sulfur diesel
no.1; and low sulfur diesel no. 2. Three hundred sixty seven
proposals were solicited and sixty four were received. Work will
be performed in various locations throughout the mid-Atlantic and
is expected to be completed by August 30, 1999. Funds will not
expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Fuel Supply
Center, Fort Belvoir, Virginia, is the contracting activity
(SP0600-96-D-4072).
Apex Oil Company, St. Louis, Missouri, is being awarded a
$25,938,696 fixed price with economic price adjustment contract
for low sulfur diesel fuel; burner oil no. 2; burner oil no. 4;
and burner oil no. 6. Three hundred sixty seven proposals were
solicited and sixty four were received. Work will be performed
in various locations throughout the mid-Atlantic and is expected
to be completed by August 30, 1999. Funds will not expire at the
end of the fiscal year. The Defense Fuel Supply Center, Fort
Belvoir, Virginia, is the contracting activity (SP0600-96-D-
4067).
AIR FORCE
Lockheed Martin Tactical Aircraft Systems, Fort Worth,
Texas, is being awarded a $15,262,858 face value increase to a
time and materials contract to provide for Requirements Planning
and Development for upgrade of the Modular Mission Computer on
the F-16 Block 40 Aircraft. Contract is expected to be completed
June 1996. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the
current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-
Patterson Air Force Base Ohio, is the contracting activity
(F33657-93-C-2374-P00014).
Tybrin Corporation, Shalimar, Florida, is being awarded a
$30,355,335 cost plus award-fee contract to provide for software
engineering support for the 96 Communication Group Eglin Air
Force Base, Florida. Contract is expected to be completed
September 1998. Contract funds
will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There
were 47 bids solicited and there was 1 proposal received.
Solicitation began April 1996 and negotiations were completed May
1996. Air Force Development Center, Egiln Air Force Base, Florida
is the contracting activity (F08635-96-C-0017).
NAVY
Mission Research Corporation, Santa Barbara, California, is
being awarded a $6,450,825 cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for
the development of a Dynamic Infrared Scene Projector (DIRSP)
Instrumentation System for the U.S. Army Simulation, Training and
Instrumentation Command (STRICOM). This contract contains
options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of
the contract to $8,602,245. Work will be performed in Santa
Barbara, California, and is expected to be completed by May 1999.
Contract funds would not have expired at the end of the current
fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with
18 proposals solicited and two offers received. The Naval Air
Warfare Center Training Systems Division, Orlando, Florida, is
the contracting activity (N61339-96-C-0074).
Ingalls Shipbuilding Incorporated, Pascagoula, Mississippi,
is being awarded a $329,538,211 fixed-price-incentive contract
for construction of one FY96 Flight IIA DDG 51 Class Aegis
Destroyer with associated supplies and services. The contract
also contains options for two FY97 Flight IIA DDG 51 Class Aegis
Destroyers. Work will be performed in Pascagoula, Mississippi,
and is expected to be completed by July 2001. Contract funds
will
not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract
was competitively procured with two proposals solicited and two
offers received. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington,
Virginia, is the contracting activity (N00024-96-C-2304).
Bath Iron Works, Bath, Maine, is being awarded a
$348,478,997 fixed-price-incentive contract for construction of
one FY96 Flight IIA DDG 51 Class Aegis Destroyer with associated
supplies and services. The contract also contains options for
two FY97 Flight IIA DDG 51 Class Aegis Destroyers. Work will be
performed in Bath, Maine, and is expected to be completed by July
2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current
fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with two
proposals solicited and two offers received. The Naval Sea
Systems Command, Arlington, Virginia, is the contracting activity
(N00024-96-C-2305).
ARMY
Conventional Munitions Systems, Inc., Tampa, Florida, is
being awarded a $500,000 increment as part of a $29,500,000
cumulative total time and materials indefinite delivery
indefinite quantity contract for removal of explosive ordnance
and waste. Work will be performed in Monterey Bay, (Ft. Ord)
California, and is expected to be completed by June 19,
1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current
fiscal year. There were 200 bids solicited on April 4, 1995, and
5 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps
of Engineers, Huntsville, Alabama (DACA87-96-D-0019).
AM General Corporation, South Bend, Indiana, is being
awarded a $22,453,396 modification to a multi-year firm fixed
price (with economic price adjustment) contract for 476
remanufactured 2 1\2 ton cargo trucks for the Extended Service
Program (ESP). Work will be performed in ** South Bend, Indiana
(90%) and Livonia, Michigan (10%), and is expected to be
completed by March 31, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at
the end of the current fiscal year. There were 2 bids solicited
on August 28, 1993, and 2 bids received. The contracting
activity is the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command,
Warren, Michigan (DAAE07-93-C-R110).
