CONTRACTS
ARMY
Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, Stratford, Connecticut, is
being awarded a $22,281,380 modification to a firm fixed price
contract for five (5) UH-60L Helicopters for Alaska National
Guard. Work will be performed in Stratford, Connecticut, and is
expected to be completed by June 30, 1997. Contract funds will
not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a
sole source contract initiated on February 5, 1991. The
contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation and Troop
Command, St. Louis, Missouri (DAAJ09-92-C-0004).
Litton, Applied Technology Division, San Jose, California,
is being awarded an increment(appropriation number and dollar
value will be issued with each delivery order) as part of a
estimated $97,000,000 cumulative total firm fixed price
indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for up to 500
each radar signal detecting set (RSDS). Work will be performed
in San Jose, California (52%), Grants Pass, Oregon (31%) and
Lansdale, Pennsylvanian (17%), and is expected to be completed by
December 31, 2002.
This is a sole source contract initiated on September 28, 1995.
The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications and
Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, New Jersey (DAAB07-96-D-
D601).
TRW, Incorporated, Space & Technology Division, Redondo
Beach, California, is being awarded a $22,100,000 increment as
part of a $89,000,000 cumulative total cost-plus-award/fee
completion letter contract for the procurement for one Tactical
High Energy Laser (THEL) advanced concept technology demonstrator
(ACTD) which meets a joint United States and Israeli requirement.
Work will be performed in Redondo Beach, California, and is
expected to be completed by November 11, 1997. Contract funds
will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The
contracting activity is the U.S. Strategic Defense Command,
Huntsville, Alabama (DASG60-96-C-0155).
NAVY
Resource Consultants, Incorporated, Vienna, Virginia, is
being awarded a $7,489,210 indefinite quantity, time and material
delivery type contract to provide management, administrative,
engineering, technical support, quality assurance development and
installations for air traffic control systems. Work will be
performed in Arizona (2%); California (20%); Florida (14%);
Georgia (.5%); Illinois (.5%); Louisana (1%); Massachusetts (1%);
Maryland (2.5%); Maine (2%); Michigan (1%); Mississippi (.5%);
North Carolina (2%); New Jersey
(1%); Nevada (2%); Pennsylvania (2%); South Carolina (21%);
Tennessee (1%); Texas (7%); Virginia (4%); Washington (3%);
Alaska (.5%); Hawaii (1.5%); Spain (1%); Italy (1%); Greece
(.5%); Iceland (1%); Puerto Rico (1.5%); Japan (2.5%); Antarctica
(1%); Canada (.5%); Saudi Arabia (.5%); and Portugal (.5%), and
is expected to be completed by July 2001. This contract contains
options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of
the contract to $37,898,022. Contract funds will not expire at
the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was
competitively procured with 45 proposals solicited and four
offers received. The Naval Command, Control and Ocean
Surveillance Center, In-Service Engineering, East Coast Division,
Charleston, South Carolina, is the contracting activity (N65236-
96-D-3700).
Bell Helicopter Textron, Incorporated, is being awarded a
$20,974,137 modification
to previously awarded contract N00019-95-C-0240 for three AH-1W
helicopters for the U.S. Marine Corps. Work will be performed in
Fort Worth, Texas, and is expected to be completed by August
1998. Contract funds would not have expired at the end of the
current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Arlington,
Virginia, is the contracting activity.
Litton Applied Technology, San Jose, California, is being
awarded a $5,092,260 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the design,
fabrication, assembly, integration, and flight test of a multi-
sensor suite supporting the multi-spectral shipboard surveillance
system. Approximately two fifths of the work will be performed
by Texas Instruments, Dallas, Texas. Work will be performed in
San Jose, California (61%) and Dallas, Texas (39%), and is
expected to be completed by July 1999. Contract funds in the
amount of $2,916,001 will expire at the end
of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively
procured through a broad agency announcement. Office of Naval
Research, Arlington, Virginia, is the contracting activity
