DEFENSE INFORMATION SYSTEMS AGENCY
AT&T Communications, Inc., Washington, D.C. is being awarded
a $5,608,200 firm-fixed price contract for a DS3 (44.736 MBPS)
telecommunications circuit between Hickam AFB, Hawaii and Camp
Roberts, Calif. for the period 24 July 1996 through 23 July 2001.
The contract was awarded competitively; three offers were
received. Funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. The Defense Information Technology Contracting
Organization - Pacific, Aiea, Hawaii is the contracting activity
(DCA200-87-H-0024).
DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY
Tennessee Apparel Corporation*, Tullahoma, Tennessee, is
being awarded a $7,826,289 firm fixed price contract for parkas.
Three proposals were solicited and three were received. Work is
expected to be completed by May 1997. Funds will not expire at
the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Personnel Support
Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is the contracting activity
(SP0100-96-C-5079).
ARMY
ACC Construction Company, Augusta, Georgia, is being awarded
a $7,956,695 firm fixed price contract for the construction of a
troop deployment/re-deployment facility for the military. The
facility consists of a troop terminal, an operations facility and
a cargo processing area. The construction will be steel frame
with load bearing masonry walls with a brick veneer with a
standing seam metal roof. Terminal is approximately 56,000 sq ft
with a covered bus drop off area, a 4,600 troop ready area that
includes telescopic bleachers, 2 digital personnel equipment
scales and cot storage. The operations/administration area
includes pre-wired workstations. The cargo processing area
includes a pallet high dock, pallet and net storage area, vehicle
fuel station with oil/water separator, vehicle platform scale and
pallet scales. The site includes parking and exterior signage.
Supporting facilities include all utilities, electrical service,
emergency generator, fire sprinklers, fire protection and alarm
systems. The existing nose dock will stay in operation during
the construction of the new Departure/Arrival Airfield Control
Group (DAACG) Operations Facility, but will be demolished upon
completion of construction. Work will be performed at Fort
Stewart, Georgia, and is expected to be completed by April 30,
1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current
fiscal year. There were 54 bids solicited on May 9, 1996, and
seven bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army
Corps of Engineers, Savannah, Georgia (DACA21-96-C-0069).
Firth Construction Company, Incorporated, Baton Rouge,
Louisiana, is being awarded a $13,519,738 firm fixed price
contract for construction of a new railroad yard and the lead
that will connect the yard with the existing railroad system.
Project includes earthwork, drainage structures, demolition and
utility relocation. Work will be performed at Fort Campbell,
Kentucky, and is expected to be completed by June 1, 1998.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. There were 87 bids solicited on January 10, 1996, and 15
bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps
of Engineers, Louisville, Kentucky (DACA27-96-C-0090).
C O R R E C T I O N
Contract DAAB07-96-D-D601, announced July 23, 1996 should have
read:
Litton, Applied Technology Division, San Jose, California,
is being awarded an increment (appropriation number and dollar
value will be issued with each delivery order) as part of an
estimated, not-to-exceed $97,000,000 indefinite
delivery/indefinite quantity with firm fixed pricing contract for
500 AN/APR-39A(V)2 Radar Signal Detecting Sets (RSDS) for use on
a wide variety of military and special mission aircraft. The
contract includes First Article testing, spares, test equipment,
training and data.
Contract DASG60-96-C-0155, announced July 23, 1996 for TRW,
should have given a completion date of November 30, 1997. This
is a sole source contract initiated on May 14, 1996.
NAVY
EDO Corporation, Marine and Aircraft Systems, College Point,
New York, is being awarded an $8,112,086 fixed-price-incentive
contract for two MK-105 MOD 4 magnetic minesweeping system
upgrade kits and engineering services. Work will be performed
in College Point, New York, and is expected to be completed by
August 1998. Contract funds
will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This
contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems
Command, Arlington, Virginia, is the contracting activity N00024-
96-C-6332.
