CONTRACTS

ARMY

BMAR and Associates, Incorporated*, Hopkinsville, Kentucky , is being awarded a not-to-exceed delivery order amount of $5,500,000 as part of a not to exceed $27,500,000 (base year with 4 one-year options) firm fixed price indefinite quantity contract for electrical testing for Category 500 medical facilities. Work will be performed in medical facilities nationwide, including Hawaii, Alaska, and the Caribbean area and is expected to be completed by September 30, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 54 bids solicited on November 20, 1995, and 6 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile, Alabama (DACA01-96-D-0044).

Ormond Builders, Incorporated, Idaho Falls, Idaho, is being awarded a $9,017,795 firm fixed price contract to construct a multi-aircraft fuel cell maintenance hangar with 30,307 square feet including mezzanine office space. The hangar structure is a braced space frame with steel joists and structural metal decking. Exterior walls are prefinished insulated metal panels, with translucent window walls and a reinforced CMU wainscot with color integrated split face. Roof is metal standing seam with four large skylights. The hangar floor area of 20,700 square feet will have underfloor radiant heating and a special floor coating. Hangar will have an AFFF fire protection system. Appurtenant facilities include a 2,000 square feet fire water pump house, and two 200,000 gallon retention ponds with liners. Work will be performed at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, and is expected to be completed by January 23, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 159 bids solicited on May 17, 1996, and 8 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle, Washington (DACA67-96-C-0052).

AIW - Alton, Incorporated*, Windsor, Connecticut, is being awarded a delivery order amount of $2,467,353 as part of an estimated $6,415,748 firm fixed price contract for 324,582 Fiberglas camouflage net support poles. Work will be performed in Windsor, Connecticut, and is expected to be completed by August 7, 2001. Contracts funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 75 bids solicited on March 5, 1996, and 2 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S Army Aviation and Troop Command, St. Louis Missouri (DAAK01-96-D-0064).

C O R R E C T I O N

Contract DAAE07-95-C-0292 for General Dynamics Land Systems, Incorporated, announced August 2, 1996, should have listed a performance location of Scranton, Pennsylvania (3%), instead of Muskegon, Michigan (3%).

NAVY

VisiCom Laboratories, Incorporated,* San Diego, California, is being awarded a $9,751,461 small business innovative research phase III cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for Lot I of computer hardware rehost designs and boards for the Naval Supply Systems Command, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, in support of Department of Defense activities. This contract contains options which, if exercised, will bring the cumulative value of this contract to $49,687,592. Work will be performed in San Diego, California, and is expected to be completed by August 2001. Contract funds in the amount of $410,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Detachment Washington, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00600-96-D-2146).

Phillips National, Incorporated,* Solana Beach, California, is being awarded a $7,563,491 firm-fixed-price contract for repair, revitalization, improvements and incidental related work to 102 existing family housing units at Naval Air Facility, El Centro, California. Work will be performed in El Centro, California, and is expected to be completed by November 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 350 proposals solicited and eight offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Division, San Diego, California, is the contracting activity (N68711-96-C-2168).

AIR FORCE

GTE Government Systems Corporation, El Segundo, California, is being awarded a $152,116,819 face value increase to a firm fixed price requirements-type contract to provide for FY1997 contractor logistics support for the AN/GYQ-21(V) Intelligence Data Handling System. The work will be performed at various Department of Defense installations worldwide. Contract is expected to be completed September 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, is the contracting activity (F09603-91/D-0999, P00013).

Lockheed Martin Tactical Aircraft Systems, Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded an $8,158,050 face value increase to a firm fixed price contract to provide for 300 Digital Terrain System Data Transfer Cartridges applicable to the F-16 aircraft. Contract is expected to be completed September 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This effort supports foreign military sales to Taiwan. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-90/C-2002, P00362).

United Technologies corporation, West Palm Beach, Florida, is being awarded a $10,230,000 face value increase to a fixed price with economic price adjustment contract to provide for two spare F-117-PW-100 engines applicable to the C-17 aircraft. The work will be performed at Pratt & Whitney Manufacturing Operations, Middletown, Connecticut. Contract is expected to be completed January 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-94/C-2155, P00005).

The Air Force is awarding a $253,472,878 firm fixed price contract to the following contractors participating in a contractor team arrangement: Federal Express Charter Programs, Memphis, Tennessee; American Trans Air, Incorporated, Indianapolis, Indiana; Air Transport International, Little Rock, Arkansas; Burlington Air Express, Swanton, Ohio; and Polar Air Cargo, Long Beach, California This action provides for FY1996 international airlift services in support of Air Mobility Command. The work will be performed by Federal Express, Memphis, Tennessee (33%), American Trans Air, Indianapolis, Indiana (32%) and Air Transport International (31%) Remaining work will be performed by the other participating contractors. Contract is expected to be completed September 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 70 firms solicited and 33 proposals received. Solicitation began March 1996; negotiations were completed July 1996. Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois is the contracting activity (F11626-96/D0013).

The Air Force is awarding a $67,128,790 firm fixed price contract to the following contractors participating in a contractor team arrangement: Tower Air, Incorporated, Jamaica, New York; American International Airways, Incorporated; Carnival Air Lines, Dania, Florida; Sun Country Airlines, Mendota Heights, Michigan; and Trans Continental Airlines, Incorporated, Ypsilanti, Michigan. This effort provides for FY1997 international airlift services in support of Air Mobility Command. The work will be performed by Tower Air, Jamaica, NY (40%), American International Airways, Incorporated, Ypsilanti, Michigan (57%), Carnival Air Lines, Incorporated, Dania, Florida (3%) with the remaining effort to be performed by the other team members. Contract is expected to be completed September 1997. Contract funds will not expire

at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 70 firms solicited and 33 proposals received. Solicitation began March 1996; negotiations were completed July 1996. Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, is the contracting activity (F11626-96/D-0014).

The Air Force is awarding a $440,115,385 firm fixed price contract to the following contractors participating in a contractor team arrangement: World Airways Incorporated, Herndon, Virginia; Evergreen International Airlines, McMinnville, Oregon; Rich International Airways, Miami, Florida; Emery Worldwide Airlines, Vandalia, Ohio; Miami Air International, Incorporated, Miami Springs, Florida; Northwest Airlines, Incorporated, Saint Paul, Minnesota; Southern Air Transport Incorporated, Columbus, Ohio; and USAir, Incorporated, Arlington, Virginia. This effort provides for FY1997 international airlift services in support of Air Mobility Command. The work will be performed by World Airways, Herndon, Virginia, and Rich International Airlines, Miami, Florida, with each doing 28% of the work. The remaining effort will be performed by the other participating contractors. Contract is expected to be completed September 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 70 firms solicited and 33 proposals received. Solicitation began March 1996; negotiations were completed July 1996.
