CONTRACTS
ARMY
Raytheon Company, Electronic Systems Division, Bedford,
Massachusetts, is being awarded a $10,345,250 increment as part
of a not-to-exceed $20,690,500 firm fixed price letter contract
for depot test equipment: PATRIOT 243,244, and 247 Test
Stations, CLET Test Stand, Antenna Alignment Kit and Programmable
Devices Test Station for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Work will
be performed in Andover, Massachusetts, and is expected to be
completed by December 31, 1998.
Contract funds will not expire
at the end of the current fiscal year.
This is a sole source
contract initiated on July 15, 1996.
The contracting activity is
the U.S. Army Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama (DAAH01-
96-C-0318).
CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY
R&D Maintenance Services, Incorporated*, Hennessey,
Oklahoma, is being awarded $100,000 of a $1,801,191 increment, as
part of a $9,140,399 (base year plus 4 option years) cost plus
award fee contract for the operation and maintenance of
government owned locks, dams, spillways, the Tuscaloosa area
office complex, and recreational facilities located within the
Black Warrior, Tombigbee, and Alabama River System.
Work will be
performed (12.5%) in each of the following counties: Hale,
Choctaw, Lowndes, Wilcox, Marengo, Green, Clark and Washington,
and is expected to be completed by August 31, 2001.
Contract
funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
There were 99 bids solicited on January 2, 1996, and 4 bids
received.
The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers, Mobile, Alabama (DACW01-96-C-0087).
AIR FORCE
Rolls-Royce, Military Aero Engines Limited, Bristol,
England, is being awarded a $10,000,000 cost plus fixed fee
contract to provide for research and development from 5 July 1996
through 31 December 1998 in support of the Engine Model
Derivative Program.
The
contractor will conduct propulsion studies and analyses to
identify air vehicle propulsion system capabilities,
enhancements, cost reductions, and to select propulsion options
to meet emerging warfighting needs.
Contract is expected to be
completed December 1998.
Contract funds will not expire at the
end of the current fiscal year.
There were 9 firms solicited.
Solicitation began September 1995; negotiations were completed
July 1996.
