AIR FORCE
Today the Air Force is modifying a $6,121,250 face value
increase to a cost plus award fee contract with TRW,
Incorporated, Redondo Beach, California. The contract provides
for equitable adjustment for the Space and Missile Tracking
System program. The work will be performed at TRW, Redondo
Beach, California (37%), Hughes Aircraft Company, El Segundo,
California (37%) and other locations. Contract funds expire at
the end of the current fiscal year. Space and Missile Systems
Center, Los Angeles, California, is the contracting activity
(F04701-92/C-0062, P00067).

CORRECTION
Contract N00039-96-C-0038 is a joint venture contract and should
have read:
GEC-Marconi Systems, Wayne, New Jersey and Rockwell
International, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, have formed a joint venture
which was awarded a $3,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract
for qualification and test articles of the Multifunctional
Information Distribution Systems (MIDS) Fighter Data Link (FDL)
terminals. The MIDS FDL terminals will provide a secure
jam resistant, digital data link systems for the United States
Air Force F-15 fighter aircraft. The procurement includes
terminal qualification testing, and options for pilot and rate
production, warranties, and contractor logistics support. This
contract contains options, which, if exercised, will increase the
value of the contract by approximately $122,000,000. Work will
be performed in Wayne, New Jersey (50%), and Cedar Rapids, Iowa
(50%), and is expected to be completed by January 1998. Contract
funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
This contract was competitively procured by a request for
proposals on the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command Bulletin
Board and two offers were received. The Space and Naval Warfare
Systems Command, Arlington, Virginia, is the contracting activity
(N00039-96-C-0038).
