CONTRACTS
ARMY
R & K Engineering, Incorporated*, Roanoke, Virginia, is
being awarded $2,823,880 as part of a $15,218,630 firm fixed
price, indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery contract for
professional systems engineering, real property planning, and
maintenance activities analysis and systems support worldwide.
Appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each
delivery order. Work will be performed at various locations
worldwide and is expected to be completed by September 30, 1997.
There were 82 bids solicited on August 8, 1996, and three bids
received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers, Baltimore, Maryland (DACA31-96-D-0083).
AIR FORCE
McDonnell Douglas Aerospace, St. Louis, Missouri, is being
awarded a $196,700,000 face value increase to a firm fixed price
contract to provide for long lead funding for initial components,
parts, materials, and labor for 25 F-151 aircraft. Contract is
expected to be completed March 1997. Contract funds will not
expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This effort
supports foreign military sales to Israel. Aeronautical Systems
Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity
(F33657-94/C-2195, P00017).
Litton Computer Services, San Jose, California, is being
awarded a $7,402,719 face value increase to a firm fixed price
contract to provide for FY 1997 operation and maintenance of the
Reliability and Maintainability Information System (REMIS).
REMIS is a computer system that maintains information regarding
the readiness and maintenance of aircraft. The work will be
performed at Litton-PRC, Dayton Ohio. Contract is expected to be
completed September 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the
end of the current fiscal year. Materiel Systems Group, Wright-
Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F-33600-86/C-

NAVY
Rockwell International Corporation, Anaheim, California, is
being awarded a $22,757,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for
technical engineering support services for the
MK2 MOD 6/7 Ships Inertial Navigation System (SINS), the MK 43
MOD 0 Electrostatically Supported Gyro Monitor (ESGM), and the MK
1 MOD 0 Electrostatically Support Gyro Navigation (ESGN)
equipment in support of U.S. and U.K. Fleet Ballistic Missile
Programs.
Work will be performed in Anaheim, California, and is expected to
be completed by September 1997. Contract funds in the amount of
$21,431,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
This contract was not competitively procured. The Navy's
Strategic Systems Program Office, Washington, DC, is the
contracting activity (N00030-97-C-0022).
Sabreliner Corporation, St. Louis, Missouri, is being
awarded a $15,603,442 modification to previously awarded contract
N00019-90-C-0039 for Undergraduate Naval Flight Officer Training
Systems support. Work will be performed in Pensacola, Florida,
and is expected to be completed by September 1997. Contract
funds in the amount of $15,603,442 will have expired at the end
of the current fiscal year. The Space and Naval Air Systems
Command, Arlington, Virginia, is the contracting activity.
The Johns Hopkins University, Applied Physics Laboratory,
Laurel, Maryland, is
being awarded an option under a cost-plus-fixed-fee, level-of-
effort, omnibus contract. The maximum quantity established for
this option is $399,569,147. Funds being obligated today
are $3,924,914. This contract will provide research,
development, test, evaluation and assessment programs to improve
the efficiency and assure the availability of current and future
Navy strategic and tactical forces, and for related scientific
and technical programs on behalf
of other military and civilian agencies of the government. Work
will be performed in Laurel, Maryland, and is expected to be
completed by December 1998. Contract funds will expire at
the end of this current fiscal year. This contract was not
competitively procured. One bid was solicited and one bid was
received. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command,
Arlington, Virginia, is the contracting activity for contract
number N00039-95-C-0002.
DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY
The Merchant's Company*, Hattiesburg, Mississippi, is being
awarded a $9,640,000 firm fixed price indefinite quantity
contract for full line food distribution. Two hundred forty
proposals were solicited and four were received. Work will be
performed in Jackson, Mississippi and is expected to be completed
by September 1997. Funds will not expire at the end of the
fiscal year. The Defense Personnel Support Center, Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania is the contracting activity (SP0300-97-D-2913).
