CONTRACTS
ARMY
Sysorex Information Systems, Incorporated*, Fairfax,
Virginia, and BTG Technology Systems*, McLean, Virginia, are each
being awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, firm
fixed price contract, DAAB07-97-D-V001 and DAAB07-97-D-V002
respectively, together potentially valued at $554,400,000, under
a competitive procurement to provide technologically advanced
commercial off-the-shelf personal computers, peripherals, and
operating systems and office automation software. The contract
is designed to provide Defense Department (excluding Air Force
and Navy as they have their own contracts) and civilian agency
users with state-of-the-art, Environmental Protection Agency
(EPA) Energy Star efficient personal computers for two levels of
performance; one for standard office automation and one for high
performance applications. Work will be performed in Winchester,
Virginia and McLean, Virginia, and is expected to be completed by
October 10, 1998. Each company is receiving $100,000 and future
delivery orders will be placed depending on the service's needs.
There were 91 bids solicited on June 10, 1996, and 12 bids were
received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army
Communications and Electronics Command Acquisition Center-
Washington Operations Office, Alexandria, Virginia (DAAB07-97-D-
V001 and DAAB07-97-D-V002).
AIR FORCE
Teradyne, Incorporated, Boston, Massachusetts, is being
awarded a $7,975,416 firm fixed price contract to provide for
maintenance of the Automatic Test System applicable to the B-2
aircraft. Contract is expected to be completed September 1997.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received.
Solicitation began May 1996; negotiations were completed
September 1996. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker Air
Force Base, Oklahoma, is the contracting activity (F34601-96/D-
0765).
E-Systems, Incorporated, Greenville, Texas, is being awarded
a $135,292,056 firm fixed price contract to provide for
modification of four Hawker 800XP aircraft with sensors to allow
them to perform signal reconnaissance missions. Contract funds
will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This
effort will support foreign military sales to Korea.
Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the
contracting activity (F33657-96/C-2062).
Northrop Grumman Corporation, Pico Rivera, California, is
being awarded a $5,268,500 face value increase to a cost contract
to provide for environmental remediation and maintenance programs
and capital type rehabilitation at Air Force Plant 42, Palmdale,
California. Contract is expected to be completed January 1998.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
