CONTRACTS
ARMY
ILC Dover Inc., Frederica, Del., is being awarded
$14,435,208 (fiscal year 1996 funds) as part of a $33,019,656
(cumulative total for four years) multiyear firm fixed price
contract for 277,267 M40A1 Masks; 24,515 M42A2 Masks; 123,000
Spare Facepiece Assemblies; and one lot of tooling in support of
the M40A1/M42A2 Chemical/Biological Protective Masks. The work
will be performed in Frederica, Del., and is expected to be
completed by Dec. 1, 2000. Of the total contract funds,
$1,103,407 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
There were two bids solicited on Sept. 30, 1996, and two bids
were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-
automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. The contract
number is DAAE20-97-C-0031.
AIR FORCE
General Electric Company, Cincinnati, Ohio, is being awarded
a $66,324,507 face value increase to a indefinite
delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide for eighteen
F110-GE-129 engines (10 install and 8 spare) and forty-one Engine
Monitoring Systems Computers for the F-16D aircraft. Contract is
expected to be completed November 1998. Contract funds will not
expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This effort
supports foreign military sales to Turkey. Aeronautical Systems
Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting
activity (F33657-94/D-2000, P00032).
Greenwich Air Services, Miami, Fla., is being awarded a
$6,182,800 face value increase to a firm fixed price contract to
provide for conversion of four government-furnished JT3D engines
to TF33-102B engines applicable to the E-8 Joint Surveillance and
Target Attack Radar Systems (JSTARS) aircraft. Contract is
expected to be completed March 1998. Contract funds will not
expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Warner Robins Air
Logistics Center, Robins Air Force Base, Ga., is the contracting
activity (F09603-95/C-1001, P00002).
Lockheed Martin Corporation, Marietta, Ga., is being awarded
a $101,364,000 firm fixed price contract to provide for two C-
130J aircraft and associated spares. Contract is expected to be
completed January 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the
end of the current fiscal year. There was one firm solicited and
one proposal received. Solicitation began May 1995; negotiations
were completed September 1996. Aeronautical Systems Center,
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting
activity (F33657-95/C-2055).
NAVY
Tidewater Construction Corporation, Norfolk, Va., is being
awarded a $7,194,100 firm-fixed-price award-fee contract for
construction of a controlled industrial facility at Naval
Station, Norfolk, Va. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va.,
and is expected to be completed by October 1998. Contract funds
will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This
contract was competitively procured with 56 proposals solicited
and four offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering
Command, Atlantic Division, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting
activity (N62470-94-C-4190).
Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, Cambridge, Mass., is being
awarded a $111,879,695 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for technical
engineering support (design agent) for U.S. and U.K. MK-5 and MK-
6 Guidance Program and guidance test equipment; product
improvement/ producibility studies on MK-6 guidance hardware;
technical engineering support for investigation, evaluation, and
development of SPALT plans and/or special studies for MK-5
and MK-6 Guidance Systems; including design, development, and
production of prototype hardware; Production Assessment Test
(PAT); screening of Pendulous Integrating Gyroscopic
Accelerometers (PIGA); procurement of PIGA fill fluid, PIGA
Titanium Carbide balls and
Life Test of MK-6 Guidance Systems. Work will be performed in
Cambridge, Mass., and is expected to be completed by September
1997. Contract funds in the amount of $64,611,695 would have
expired at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was
not competitively procured. The Navy's Strategic Systems
Program, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00030-97-C-
0024).
