CONTRACT AWARDS

The Boeing Company, Seattle, Wash., is being awarded a $661,802,071 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the Joint Strike Fighter Concept Demonstration Program which will feature flying aircraft demonstrators, ground and flight technology demonstrations, and continued refinement of the contractor's weapons system concept for the next generation strike fighter for the Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Royal Navy. Work will be performed in Seattle, Wash., and is expected to be completed by February 2001. Contract funds would not have expired at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured by a request for proposal and four offers were received. The Naval Air Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00019-97-C-0037).

Lockheed Martin Corporation, Bethesda, Md., is being awarded a $718,800,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the Joint Strike Fighter Concept Demonstration Program which will feature flying aircraft demonstrators, ground and flight technology demonstrations, and continued refinement of the contractor's weapon system concept for the next generation strike fighter for the Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Royal Navy. Work will be performed in Palm Dale, Calif. (71 percent), and Fort Worth, Texas (29 percent), and is expected to be completed by February 2001. Contract funds would not have expired at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured by a request for proposal and four offers were received. The Naval Air Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00019-97-C-0038).
