CONTRACTS

ARMY

Light Helicopter Turbine Engine Co., St. Louis, Mo., was awarded on Nov. 21, 1996, an increment of a $17,257,692 modification to a cost plus fixed fee contract for T800-LHT-800/- 801 Air Vehicle Support for the RAH 66 Comanche helicopter. Work will be performed in Phoenix, Ariz. (50%), and Indianapolis, Ind. (50%), and is expected to be completed by March 30, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on May 19, 1995. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation and Troop Command, St. Louis, Mo. (DAAJ09-92-C-0453).

Boeing Defense and Space Group, Missiles and Space Division, Huntsville, Ala., was awarded on Nov. 29, 1996, an amount of $1,788,756 as part of a $13,324,836 cost plus fixed fee contract for AVENGER engineering services for FY97-FY99. The AVENGER is a transportable surface-to-air missile/gun weapon system mounted on a High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV). Work will be performed in Huntsville, Ala., and is expected to be completed by Nov. 29, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on May 22, 1996. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Missile Command, Huntsville, Ala. (DAAH01-97-C-0076).

Wilcox Electric, Inc., Kansas City, Mo., was awarded on Nov. 29, 1996, an estimated not-to-exceed $8,945,755 (appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order) firm fixed price requirements contract for airport surveillance radar digitization upgrade and technical data at ten locations. Work will be performed at various locations inside (70%) and outside (30%) of the continental United States, and is expected to be completed by July 31, 1999. This is a sole source contract initiated on July 11, 1996. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-97-D-B009).

General Dynamics Land Systems, Product Support & Services Co., Sterling Heights, Mich., is being awarded a $7,465,417 modification to a cost plus fixed fee contract for manufacturing technical assistance on M1A1 Tank co-production. Work will be performed in Cairo, Egypt, and is expected to be completed by Aug. 31, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Jan. 8, 1991. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank- automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-92-C-0957).

Boeing Defense and Space Group, Missiles and Space Division, Huntsville, Ala., is being awarded a $63,127,735 firm fixed price contract for 74 AVENGER fire units for Taiwan. Work will be performed in Huntsville, Ala., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Oct. 25, 1996. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Missile Command, Huntsville, Ala. (DAAH01-97-C-0081).

Roy F. Weston, Inc., West Chester, Pa., is being awarded $500,000 as part of an estimated $100,000,000 indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery with firm fixed price and time and materials tasks contract for environmental support services to support environmental compliance and the Installation Restoration Program at Aberdeen Proving Ground. Work will be performed at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, and is expected to be completed by Nov. 31, 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 473 bids solicited on Oct. 6, 1995, and 11 bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland (DAAD05-97-D-7004).

AIR FORCE

Dynamic Controls HS, Inc., Windsor Locks, Conn., was awarded on Nov. 27, 1996 a $6,489,130 firm fixed price contract to provide for F-15 spare parts consisting of 31 each, NSN 1270-01- 427-2331XZ, Converter Programmer, and 8 each Converter Programmer, P/N 11241-25 to be modified to P/N 11241-27. Contract is expected to be completed December 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was one firm solicited and one proposal received. Solicitation began April 1996; negotiations were completed October 1996 This effort supports foreign military sales to Israel. Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins AFB, Ga. is the contracting activity (F09603-96/C-0674).

Harris Corporation, Melbourne, Fla., was awarded on Nov. 27, 1996, a $5,130,120 face value increase to a firm fixed price contract to provide support to Army and Air Force tactical operations. The Small Tactical Terminal defense meteorological satellite programs supports the operational need of global military environment support and tactical intelligence and related activities for geophysical and space support. Contract is expected to be completed November 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles AFB, Calif. is the contracting activity (F04701-94/C-0019, P00033).

Lockheed Martin Federal Systems, Owego, NY, is being awarded a $12,500,000 face value increase to a firm fixed price contract to provide for upgrade of the radar system on 28 MC-130H aircraft. Contract is expected to be completed June 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-83/C-0264, P00290).

TRW, Inc., Carson, Calif., is being awarded a $61,485,068 cost plus award fee contract to provide for acquisition of the Joint Simulation System (JSIM). JSIM is a computerized warfare simulator on a distributed system. The work will be performed at TRW, Inc., Carson, Calif. Contract is expected to be completed December 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two proposals received. Solicitation began July 1996; negotiations were completed October 1996. Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom AFB, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-97/C-0014).

Lockheed Martin Corporation, Sunnyvale, Calif., is being awarded a $10,375,270 face value increase to a cost plus award fee contract to provide for the design, development, test, and integration of the Satellite Mission Control Subsystem Proficiency, Trainer, the procurement of spares, site training for instructors, and options for operational and depot support. Contract is expected to be completed July 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Boeing Defense and Space Group, Seattle, Wash., is being awarded a $25,690,429 firm fixed price contract to provide for priced contract options for Airborne Warning and Control System Group A' Modification Kits, Control Power Supplies, Left and Right Elevator Commodity Kits, Weather Radome Commodity Kits, Technical Data, Global Positioning System Inertial Navigation System (GINS) Kits, a GINS Hardware Test Kit and Relay Assembly Commodity Kits and the provision of complementary funding for GINS computer based training. Contract is expected to be completed June 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Lockheed Martin Corporation, Littleton, Colo., is being awarded a $8,020,046 fixed price incentive contract to provide for three additional Milstar Communication Vehicles (mobile ground stations).. Contract is expected to be completed May 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. NAVY

Taylor Ball, La Mesa, Calif., is being awarded a $16,595,000 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of tactical vehicle van pads, an out building at the combat aircraft loading area pad and Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron (MALS) buildings A through H, at Naval Air Station Miramar, San Diego, Calif. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by July 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 77 proposals solicited and nine offers received. Soltek of San Diego, San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $15,353,500 firm-fixed-price contract for building renovations, additions, armory, and shops at the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, San Diego, Calif. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by September 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 43 proposals solicited and four offers received. Wylie Construction Company, San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $24,672,981 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a Marine Wing Support Squadron Compound at the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, San Diego, Calif. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by February 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Soltek of San Diego, San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $33,843,896 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a Bachelor Enlisted Quarters (BEQ) at the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, San Diego, Calif. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by February 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Booz-Allen & Hamilton, McLean, Va., is being awarded a $6,953,292 cost-plus-fixed- fee contract to provide technical and engineering support services for the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems for the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, Arlington, Va. The services include mission and technology analysis, procurement planning, management and data analysis, interface analysis, logistics concept formulation, technical support, and software support. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $35,135,486. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by September 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 116 proposals solicited and one offer was received.
