AIR FORCE
PRC, Incorporated, McLean, Va., is being awarded a
$19,454,105 cost plus fixed fee contract to provide for database
and applications development support for the Databases for the
21st Century program.
The contractor will develop software and
management tools to maximize the effectiveness of database
systems employed by the intelligence community.
The work will be
performed at PRC, Inc., Bellvue, Neb.
Contract is expected to be
completed December 2001.
Contract funds will not expire at the
end of the current fiscal year.
There were 11 firms solicited
and 2 proposals received.
Solicitation began August 1996;
negotiations were completed December 1996.
Rome Laboratory,
Rome, NY, is the contracting activity (F30602-97/C-0030).
Lockheed Martin Corporation, Palmdale, Calif., is being
awarded a $13,099,558 face value increase to a cost plus fixed
fee contract to provide for design, development, and initial
procurement for wiring for integration of smart bombs into the
weapons system, and upgrades to the Weapon System Computer and
Mission Planning software, in support of the F-117A aircraft.
Contract is expected to be completed June 1997.
Contract funds
will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the
contracting activity (F33657-90/C-3021, P00052).
ARMY
CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY
Midwest Foundation Corp., Tremont, Ill., is being awarded an
$11,990,039 firm fixed price contract for a major rehabilitation,
Stage I, Lock and Dam No. 14 on the Mississippi River.
Work will
be performed in Rock Island County, Ill., and Scott County, Iowa,
and is expected to be completed by Dec. 16, 1998.
Contract funds
will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
There
were 74 bids solicited on Aug. 26, 1996, and six bids were
received.
The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers, Rock Island, Ill. (DACW25-97-C-0003).

NAVY
Great Lakes/Stuyvesant (a joint venture), Oak Brook, Ill.,
is being awarded a $32,652,859 firm-fixed-price contract for
dredging of the San Diego inner and outer channels at Naval Air
Station North Island, Coronado, Calif.
This contract includes
options which, if exercised, will bring the cumulative value of
the contract to $41,715,510.
Work will be performed in San
Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by April 1998.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
year.
This contract was competitively procured with 30 proposals
solicited and two offers received.
The Naval Facilities
Engineering Command, Southwest Division, San Diego, Calif., is
the contracting activity (N68711-94-C-1686).
General Electric Aircraft Engines, Lynn, Mass., is being
awarded a $5,919,760 ceiling price order under a basic ordering
agreement for 866 rear shafts used on the F-404 engine on the F/A-
18 aircraft.
Work will be performed in Lynn, Mass., and is
expected to be completed by February 1999.
Contract funds will
not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
This contract
was not competitively procured.

Point, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (F34601-97-
G-0002-GD05).
Electric Boat Corporation, Groton, Conn., is being awarded a
$59,430,172 modification to previously awarded contract N00024-95-
C-2101 to exercise options for OMNIBUS Engineering and Technical
Services for OHIO Class Submarines.
Work will be performed
in Groton, Conn., and is expected to be completed by September
1997.
Contract funds in the amount of $58,102,089 will expire at
the end of the current fiscal year.

Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.
Hughes Aircraft Company, Electro-Optical and Data Systems
Group, El Segundo, Calif., is being awarded an $8,229,771
modification to previously awarded contract N00019-94-C-0054 for
AN/AAQ-16B Forward Looking Infrared components for the CH-53E
helicopter.
Work will be performed in El Segundo, Calif., and
is expected to be completed by June 1999.
Contract funds would
not have expired at the end of the current fiscal year.
