CONTRACTS
ARMY
United Defense Limited Partnership, Ground Systems Division,
York, Pa., is being awarded a $27,209,000 increment as part of a
$128,986,373 cost plus incentive fee contract for
engineering/manufacturing development of the breacher vehicle
(Grizzly vehicle). This is a mine clearing, obstacle breaching
vehicle with an automatic depth system and power driven arm.
Work will be performed in York, Pa. (80%); and Santa Clara,
Calif. (20%), and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2001.
Of the total contract funds, $5,200,000 will expire at the end of
the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract
initiated on May 13, 1996. The contracting activity is the U.S.
Army Tank-automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-
97-C-X001).
NAVY
PRC Incorporated, McLean, Va., is being awarded an
$11,221,175 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for support services for
Automated Information Support (AIS), Management Support, Supply
Support, Facilities Management Support, and Technical Information
Support for the AEGIS Combat System Center (ACSC) Wallops Island,
Va. Work will be performed
in Wallops Island, Va, and is expected to be completed by
September 2001. Contract funds in the amount of $2,062,491 will
expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was
competitively procured with 40 proposals solicited and three
offers received. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va.,
is the contracting activity (N00024-97-C-6429).
McDonnell Douglas Corporation, McDonnell Aircraft Company,
St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $28,000,000 modification to
previously awarded contract to provide additional funding to the
advance acquisition contract for the procurement of 12 Low Rate
Initial Production F/A-18E/F aircraft. Work will be performed in
St. Louis, Mo. (64%), and Hawthorne, Calif. (36%), and is
expected to be completed by April 2000. Contract funds would
not have expired at the end of the current fiscal year. The
Naval Air Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting
activity (N00019-96-C-0065).
Bell Helicopter Textron, Incorporated, Fort Worth, Texas, is
being awarded a $134,000,000 modification to previously awarded
contract to exercise an option for the UH-1N Upgrade Program.
Work will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas, and is expected to
be completed by September 2003. Contract funds would not have
expired at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air
Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity
(N00019-96-C-0128).
Orbital Sciences Corporation, Fairchild Defense, Germantown,
Md., is being awarded
a $6,001,544 modification to previously awarded contract to
exercise an option for AN/ASQ-215 Digital Data Sets. Work will
be performed in Germantown, Md., and is expected to be completed
by March 1998. Contract funds would not have expired at the end
of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command,
Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00163-95-C-0171).
