CONTRACTS
DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY
Labatt Food Service, San Antonio, Texas, is being awarded a
$13,600,000 firm fixed price indefinite quantity contract for
full line food distribution. One hundred sixty-eight proposals
were solicited and five were received. Work is expected to be
completed by January 31, 1998. Funds will not expire at the end
of the fiscal year. The Defense Personnel Support Center,
Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0300-97-D-
2925).
ARMY
Alder Construction Co., Salt Lake City, Utah, is being
awarded an $8,971,231 firm fixed price construction contract to
furnish all plant, labor, equipment and materials necessary and
performing all work for construction of a fully operational
wastewater treatment facility according to plans and
specifications for the wastewater treatment plant upgrade. Work
will be performed at Fort Carson, Colorado, and is expected to be
completed by Sept. 30, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at
the end of the current fiscal year. There were 42 bids solicited
on Oct. 21, 1996, and eight bids were received. The contracting
activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha, Neb. (DACA45-
97-C-0014).
AIR FORCE
Scheduled Airlines Travel Services, Inc., Arlington, Va., is
being awarded a $25,000,000 commercial services contract to
provide for airline reservation and ticketing services from 15
January 1997 through 14 January 1998 for official travel by
members of the Air Force, Army, Army Corps of Engineers, and
Alaska National Guard; as well as for unofficial travel reserved
in conjunction with official travel. The work will be performed
at various locations in Alaska. Contract is expected to be
completed January 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the
end of the current fiscal year. There were 27 firms solicited
and 6 proposals received. Solicitation began March 1996;
negotiations were completed December 1996. The Third Contracting
Squadron, Elmendorf AFB, Alaska, is the contracting activity
