AIR FORCE
Lockheed Martin Corporation, Orlando, Fla., is being awarded
a $21,664,980 face value increase to a cost plus award fee
contract to provide for pilot production of 190 Wind Corrected
Munitions Dispenser (WCMD) Tail Kits. These kits correct for the
effects of wind on dispenser type cluster munitions (e.g., Sensor
Fuzed Weapon, Gator and Combined Effect Munitions). The
contractor will deliver 40 tail kits to be tested on F-16 and B-
52 aircraft during Air Force conducted Developmental Testing and
Evaluation and Operational Test and Evaluation beginning in May
1997. This contract also includes 150 tail kits for delivery to
field units to provide an early operational capability on the B-
52 aircraft by February 1998. The work will be performed at
Lockheed Martin Corporation, Orlando, Fla. (89%), BF Goodrich
Aerospace, Cedar Knolls, N.J. (4%) and Honeywell Military
Avionics, Wayne, N.J. (7%) Contract is expected to be completed
January 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the
current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Eglin AFB,
Fla., is the contracting activity (F08626-95/C-0016, P00010).
Boeing Defense and Space Group, Seattle, Wash., is being
awarded a $32,400,000 firm fixed price contract to provide for
four Electronic Support Measure systems applicable to the E-3F
Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft. Contract
is expected to be completed June 2000. Contract funds will not
expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was one firm
solicited and one proposal received. Solicitation began August
1996; negotiations were completed December 1996. Electronic
Systems Center, Hanscom AFB, Mass., is the contracting activity
(F19628-97/C-0005).
ARMY
General Dynamics Land Systems Inc., Sterling Heights, Mich.,
is being awarded a $36,587,659 modification to a firm fixed price
multi-year contract (year three) for long lead material for 120
M1A2 Abrams Tank upgrades. Work will be performed in Lima, Ohio
(80%); Tallahassee, Fla. (11%); Anniston, Ala. (4%); Scranton,
Pa. (3%); Imperial Valley, Calif. (1%);
and Muskegon, Mich. (1%), and is expected to be completed by Oct.
31, 2001. Contract funds
will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a
sole source contract initiated on June 30, 1995. The contracting
activity is the U.S. Army Tank-automotive & Armaments Command,
Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-95-C-0292).
Oswood Construction Co.*, Great Falls, Mont., is being
awarded a $5,659,500 firm fixed price contract for a two-phase
project: Phase 1 includes the demolition of the LOX LIN storage
and maintenance area and construction of a new 16,700 sq. foot
Composite Communication and Security Police Support Facility;
Phase 2 is the alteration of the Squadron Operations Facility,
Building #25 and the Aircraft Maintenance Hangar, Building #26.
Work will be performed for the Montana Air National Guard,
International Airport, in Great Falls, Mont., and is expected to
be completed by Oct. 7, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at
the end of the current fiscal year. There were 37 bids solicited
on Nov. 19, 1996, and three bids were received. The contracting
activity is the National Guard Bureau, Helena, Mont. (DAHA24-97-C-
0003).
Keco Industries Inc.*, Florence, Ky., is being awarded a
delivery order amount of $7,673,351 as part of a five year
requirements contract for the purchase of 32 Reverse Osmosis
Water Purification Units (ROWPU). Work will be performed in
Florence, Ky. (50%); and Cincinnati, Ohio (50%), and is expected
to be completed by June 1, 1998. Contract funds will not expire
at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 37 bids
solicited on June 25, 1992, and seven bids were received. The
contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation and Troop Command,
St. Louis, Mo. (DAAK01--93-D-0008).
GTE Government Systems Corp., Taunton, Mass., is being
awarded a $3,000,000 increment of an $8,587,415 modification to a
cost plus fixed fee contract to exercise the option for Mobile
Subscriber Equipment (MSE) shelter overhaul, Phase IIA. Work
will be performed in Taunton, Mass., and is expected to be
completed by Jan. 31, 1998. Of the total contract funds,
$3,000,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
This is a sole source contract initiated on Sept. 21, 1995. The
contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications and
Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-96-C-F004).
Lockheed Martin Defense System, Pittsfield, Mass., is being
awarded $5,681,705 of an $11,363,410 firm fixed price contract to
exercise a 100% option for 233 Digital Electronic Control
Assemblies in support of the Bradley Fighting Vehicle Systems.
Work will be performed in Pittsfield, Mass., and is expected to
be completed by Dec. 31, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at
the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source
contract initiated on Dec. 13, 1996. The contracting activity is
the U.S. Army Tank-automotive & Armaments Command, Rock Island,
Ill. (DAAE20-96-G-0002/0001).

Amerada Hess Corporation, Houston, Texas, is being awarded a
$13,275,186 firm fixed price contract for services and facilities
to receive, store, and ship three grades of government-owned
petroleum products. One hundred sixteen proposals were solicited
and four were received. Work will be performed in Houston,
Texas, and is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, 2002. Funds
will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Fuel
Supply Center, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the contracting activity
