AIR FORCE
Raytheon Company, Goleta, Calif., is being awarded a
$41,790,792 fixed price incentive firm contract to provide for
the AN/ALE-50(V) Production Program - 975 Air Force Towed Decoy
Rounds for the F-16 aircraft, 92 Navy Towed Decoy Rounds for the
F/A-18, 119F-16 1x2 Launcher/Controllers and Isolation Racks, 83
F-16 magazines, data and weapon system warranty. Contract is
expected to be completed January 1999. Contract funds will not
expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was one firm
solicited and one proposal received. Solicitation began December
1996; negotiations were completed February 1997. Aeronautical
Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting
activity (F33657-96/C-0036).
NAVY
Metric Systems Corp., Fort Walton Beach, Fla., is being
awarded a $5,399,733 modification to previously awarded contract
N000163-92-C-0231 to exercise an option
to procure 85 Common Rack and Launcher Test Sets, 531 Adapter
Sets, 83 Accessory Cases,
and 59 Group Adaptor Sets for the H-60, P-3, S-3, AH-1, AV-8, F-
18, H-1, and F-14 aircraft. Work will be performed in Fort
Walton Beach, Fla., and is expected to be completed by February
1999. Contract funds would not have expired at the end of the
current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured
with 30 proposals solicited and 14 offers received. The Naval
Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the
contracting activity.
ARMY
ITT Aerospace/Communications Division, Ft. Wayne, Ind., is
being awarded a $5,185,880 modification to a firm-fixed-
price/cost-plus-incentive-fee/time and materials contract for the
design, development and production of Near Term Digital Radio
(NTDR) prototypes. The project includes NTDR radios, Network
Management Terminals, Installation Kits, testing, training and
logistic support, and an option for additional radios. This
modification is to reflect additional funding for cost overrun.
Work will be performed in Ft. Wayne, Ind., and is expected
to be completed by Dec. 31, 2002. Contract funds will not expire
at the end of the current fiscal year. An announcement was made
on the electronic bulletin board on May 24, 1995. The
contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications and
Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-96-C-C760).
Wick Constructors Inc., Fairbanks, Alaska, is being awarded
a $16,770,000 firm fixed price contract to construct a new two-
bay, 4,310 square meter aircraft maintenance hangar with an
attached 4,347 square meter squadron operations/maintenance/-
administration facility. Work will be performed at Elmendorf Air
Force Base, Alaska, and is expected to be completed by April19,
1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current
fiscal year. There were 280 bids solicited on Dec. 12, 1996, and
nine bids received. The contracting activity is the U. S. Army
Corps of Engineers, Anchorage, Alaska. (DACA85-97-C-0007).
Day & Zimmermann Inc., Philadelphia, Pa.,is being awarded a
$5,765,680 modification to a cost plus award fee contract for the
operation and maintenance of a government owned/contractor
operated facility. Work will be performed at the Lone Star Army
Ammunition Plant, Texarkana, Texas, and is expected to be
completed by Dec. 31, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at
the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source
contract initiated on Jan. 31, 1991. The contracting activity is
the U. S. Army Armament Munitions and Chemical Command, Rock
Island, Ill. (DAAA09-91-Z008).
TRI-S Inc.*, Havre de Grace, Md., is being awarded a
$12,305,255 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity/firm-fixed-
price, and time-materials contract to provide on a task order
basis, federal information processing support services necessary
to administer, sustain, maintain and enhance the current and
future Test and Evaluation Command (TECOM) computerized
automation efforts. This includes support in the operation of
the Hq. TECOM Local Area Network (LAN), programming and technical
support for all programming applications for TECOM overarching
investment strategy; and support of modeling and simulation and
virtual proving ground efforts. Work will be performed at
Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., and is expected to be completed by
Jan. 31, 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the
current fiscal year. There were 132 bids solicited on May 23,
1996, and six bids were received. The contracting activity is
the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command, Aberdeen Proving
Ground, Md. (DAAD05-97-D-7006).
