CONTRACTS
DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY
Crowley Marine Services, Inc., Seattle, Wash., is being
awarded a $6,067,925 fixed price with economic price adjustment
contract for regular unleaded gasoline; aviation jet fuel, JA1;
and arctic diesel fuel. Forty four proposals were solicited and
three were received. Work will be performed in Alaska and is
expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 1998. Funds will not
expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense Fuel Supply
Center, Fort Belvoir Va., is the contracting activity (SP0600-97-
D-1284).
NAVY
Fletcher Pacific Construction Co., Ltd., Honolulu, Hawaii,
is being awarded an $11,850,000 firm-fixed-price contract for
design and construction of 54 family housing units at Marine
Corps Base Hawaii, Kanehoe Bay, Hawaii. Work will be performed
in Kanehoe Bay, Oahu, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed by
October 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the
current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured
with 78 proposals solicited and five offers received. The Naval
Facilities Engineering Command, Pacific Division, Pearl Harbor,
Hawaii, is the contracting activity (N62742-95-C-1360).
Tarago Shipholding Corp., Bethesda, Md., is being awarded a
$145,699,480 firm-
fixed-price contract to support the Maritime Preposition Force
(Enhanced) Program with the conversion of roll-on/roll-off vessel
MV Tarago later to be renamed USNS 1st Lt. Harry L. Martin. The
contract covers Phase II - the conversion of an existing ship,
and Phase III - the operation and maintenance of the ship for the
first five years following delivery to the Military Sealift
Command. Work will be performed in Jacksonville, Fla., and is
expected to be completed by September 2003. Contract funds will
not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract
was competitively procured with five proposals solicited and four
offers received.
The U.S. Navy's Military Sealift Command, Washington, D.C., is
the contracting activity (N00033-97-C-4004).
Kollmorgen Corp., Electro-Optical Div., Northampton, Mass.,
is being awarded a $7,167,748 modification to previously awarded
contract N66604-95-C-0145 to exercise an option for eight units
of 8B Mod 3 Periscope Sets; three units of 8J Mod 3 Periscope
Sets; and corresponding Special Support and Test Equipment.
Work will be performed in Northampton, Mass., and is expected to
be completed by April 1999. Contract funds will not expire at
the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Undersea Warfare
Center Division, Newport, R.I., is the contracting activity.
ARMY
Wynn Construction Co., Inc., Oklahoma City, Okla., is being
awarded a $242,963 increment as part of a $5,803,266 firm fixed
price contract to design/build, add/alter dormitories, Buildings
5902 and 5910. The project consists of upgrading facilities for
semi-private bathrooms/bedrooms, kitchens, TV lounges, game
rooms, laundry rooms, microwave/vending rooms, storage locker
rooms and other miscellaneous upgrades and changes. Work will be
performed at Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., and is expected to be
completed by June 17, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at
the end of the current fiscal year. There were 30 bids solicited
on April 4, 1996, and one bid was received. The contracting
activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa, Okla.
