CONTRACTS
DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY
Atlantic Food Services, Inc.*, Manassas, Va., is being
awarded a $12,000,000 firm fixed price contract for full line
food distribution. Sixty proposals were solicited and five were
received. Work is expected to be completed by March 28, 1998.
Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Defense
Personnel Support Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting
activity (SP0300-97-D-2904).
ARMY
Monarch Construction Co., Cincinnati, Ohio, is being awarded
an $8,403,000 firm fixed price contract for renovation of
Building 45, Gentile Station, DFAS. The project includes
architectural treatment, furniture, structural changes, plumbing,
mechanical and electrical work. Some interior and exterior
demolition is included. Hazardous materials include asbestos and
lead paint. Work will be performed at Wright Patterson Air Force
Base, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 4, 1998.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. There were 199 bids solicited on Feb. 13, 1997, and nine
bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army
Corps of Engineers, Louisville, Ky. (DACA27-97-C-0034).
Formont Division, Dynamics Corporation of America,
Bridgeport, Conn., is being awarded an $11,563,906 firm fixed
price indefinite delivery requirements type contract for Tactical
Quiet Generators - Kilowatt (kW), Hertz (Hz): 5kW/60Hz - 254
each; 10kW/60Hz - 692 each; 15kW/400Hz - 4 each; and 15kW/60Hz -
139 each. Work will be performed in Bridgeport, Conn., and is
expected to be completed by Dec. 30, 1998. Contract funds will
not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 25
bids solicited on March 30, 1995, and nine bids were received.
The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation and Troop
Command, St. Louis, Mo. (DAAK01-94-D-0036).
AIR FORCE
McDonnell Douglas Corp., Long Beach, Calif., is being
awarded an $11,125,000 face value increase to a firm fixed price
contract to provide for the Third Period (August 1996-January
1997) Earned Award Fee for performance of the production contract
for the C-17 aircraft. Contract funds will not expire at the end
of the current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-
Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-93/C-
0036, P00038).
R.P. Richards, Inc., Goleta, Calif., is being awarded a
$10,986,000 firm fixed price contract to provide for demolition
of existing housing and construction of 71 units of military
family housing at White Point Housing Complex, San Pedro, Calif.,
in support of Los Angeles AFB, Calif. Contract is expected to be
completed May 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of
the current fiscal year. There were 21 firms solicited and 6
proposals received. Solicitation began January 1997;
negotiations were completed March 1997. Space and Missile
Systems Center, Los Angeles, Calif., is the contracting activity
(F04693-97/C-0003).
Adroit Systems, Alexandria, Va., Modern Technologies Corp.,
Dayton Ohio and Support Systems Associates, Inc., Hauppauge,
N.Y., are being awarded a $190,000,000 indefinite
delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide for non-personal
engineering, logistics, and program office support services for
the AC-130H/U, MC-130E/H, HC-130P/N, C-141B, MH-53J, MH/HH-60G,
UH-1N, HH-1H, HH-3E, and CV-22 aircraft. Task order requirements
will be competed among the three contractors and will be funded
from the program maximum indicated above. At this time,
$10,986,000 in funds have been obligated to each of the three
contractors. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the
current fiscal year. There were 135 firms solicited and 19
proposals received. Solicitation began October 1996;
negotiations were completed February 1997. Warner Robins Air
Logistics Center, Robins AFB, Ga., is the contracting activity
(F09603-97/D-0174, 0180, 0182).
NAVY
OHM Remediation Services Corp., Aiea, Hawaii, is being
awarded a $2,265,622 modification to previously awarded contract
N62742-93-D-0610 for environmental remedial action including all
services, labor, equipment, and materials required to perform a
removal action consisting of the construction of an
interceptor/collection trench system with a seawall component at
Oscar 2 Pier, Naval Shipyard, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The basic
total contract amount is not to exceed $250,000,000. Work will
be performed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and is expected to be
completed by January 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the
end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Facilities Engineering
Command, Pacific Division, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, is the
contracting activity.
OHM Remediation Services Corp., Findlay, Ohio, is being
awarded a $5,902,274 modification to previously awarded contract
N68711-93-D-1459 for environmental remedial action including all
services, labor, equipment, and materials required to construct a
low permeability cover system at Site 7, Box Canyon Landfill at
Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, Oceanside, Calif. The basic
total contract amount is not to exceed $250,000,000. Work will
be performed in Oceanside, Calif., and is expected to be
completed by October 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the
end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Facilities Engineering
Command, Southwest Division, San Diego, Calif., is the
contracting activity.
Westinghouse Electric Corp., Cleveland, Ohio, is being
awarded a $16,174,085 modification to previously awarded contract
N00024-95-C-6190 to exercise an option for the procurement of 135
MK48 ADCAP Torpedo MOD kits, 100 Warhead Electronic Systems, and
associated support and engineering labor. Work will be performed
in Cleveland, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by December
1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current
fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is
the contracting activity.
Planning Consultants, Inc., Virginia Beach, Va., is being
awarded a $12,439,199 cost-plus-award-fee contract for systems
engineering management and technical support services to the
Program Executive Officer for Surface Combatants/AEGIS Program
(PEO SC/AP). This contract includes options which, if exercised,
would bring the cumulative value of the entire contract to
$86,706,759. Work will be performed in Virginia Beach, Va.
(30%), and Arlington, Va. (70%), and is expected to be completed
by March 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the
current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured
through a Web Page and two offers were received. The Naval Sea
Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity
(N00024-97-C-5182).
Lockheed Martin, Government Electronic Systems, Moorestown,
N.J., is being awarded a $13,937,500 modification to previously
awarded contract N00024-94-C-5160 to exercise an option for AEGIS
Operations and Maintenance Support of Combat Systems Engineering
Development Site (CSEDS), Land Based Test Site (LBTS), Program
Generation Site (PGC), Computer Program Test Site (CPTS) and
AEGIS Data Reduction Center (ADRC). Work will be performed in
Moorestown, N.J., and is expected to be completed by April 1997.
