DoD employees and military personnel make up the most important single resource in the defense of the United States.

Quality of life for DoD personnel is a priority for several reasons. For one, it’s easier to attract well-trained personnel if we can offer a good work environment. It’s also easier to retain employees under those conditions. But most importantly, our personnel deserve a high quality of life.

Many of our reform initiatives, therefore, are intended to increase the level of job support and assistance so we can offer the highest quality of life to our most valuable resource.
