Subject: Department of Defense Reform Initiative Directive #4 - Defense Privacy Office
The Director, Administration and Management, is hereby directed to transfer the Defense Privacy Office, including operational responsibilities, functions, and resources, to the Washington Headquarters Services, consistent with section 8061 of the Department of Defense Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 1998.
The Director, Administration and Management will revise affected DoD Directives and other issuances as required to reflect this change in the DoD Directive System and ensure that all appropriate personnel actions are accomplished.
I request the Director, Administration and Management, to effect an orderly integration, including issuing such instructions to affected personnel as may be necessary.
