| On a long stretch off road, cut off at both ends by the Dec. 26th tsunami that hit Sumatra, Indonesia, a civilian lands his small prop plane on this makeshift runway and drops off supplies to anyone who happens to be roaming through this deserted and washed out portion of the island, Jan. 7, 2005. Along with militaries from around the world, civilians have played a major role in volunteering in the Humanitarian relief efforts in support of Operation Unified Assistance.
