| Project Hope Transfers Patients |

| Commander Kurt Hummeldorf, MD, and Ranee Selufsky of the non-governmental organization "Project HOPE" transport a patient from the University Hospital in Banda Aceh, Indonesia to a U.S. Navy helicopter which will take her to hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH19) for treatment while family members say their concerned goodbyes, on Feb. 11, 2005. Mercy is currently on station off the coast of Banda Aceh, Sumatra, Indonesia, to provide medical assistance and disaster relief in conjunction with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to the people of Indonesia affected by the devastating tsunami on Dec. 26, 2004. Mercy and its crew of medical and support personnel, civilian mariners, Uniformed Public Health Service and the NGO, "Project Hope" and its volunteersare poised to provide medical services immediately as requested by the host-nation.
