| The pilot and naval flight officer of an FA-18F Super Hornet demonstrates the airplane’s capabilities at the 2005 Joint Service Open House at Andrews Air Force Base. The Super Hornet is replacing the F-14 Tomcat and earlier models of the FA-18 Hornet. The FA-18E/F has longer range, an aerial refueling capability, increased survivability/ lethality, and improved carrier suitability.
