| Chairman Visits the Nimitz |

| Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff U.S. Air Force Gen. Richard B. Myers and his wife, receive rainbow sideboy honors as they arrive aboard the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Nimitz for a USO visit, Aug. 18, 2005. The Nimitz Strike Group is on a regularly scheduled deployment and is participating in Maritime Security Operations in the Persian Gulf. MSO set the conditions for security and stability in the maritime environment as well as complement the counter-terrorism and security efforts of regional nations.
