Three Soldiers Killed in Two Separate Incidents in Iraq

WASHINGTON, Nov. 29, 2004 – Two Task Force Baghdad soldiers were killed when their patrol struck an improvised explosive device in northwestern Baghdad, Iraq, today.

Three other soldiers were wounded in the attack.

Also today, a 13th Corps Support Command soldier was killed and two more were injured in a vehicle accident northwest of Kut.

The two injured soldiers were evacuated by air to the 31st Combat Support Hospital in Baghdad.

Names of the soldiers killed are being held pending notification of next of kin. Both incidents are under investigation.
