Responsible for providing comprehensive technical assessment on a wide variety of technology security issues including review of export license applications; and technical expertise to DTSA's internal processes.
- Provides a comprehensive technical assessment of national security risks for proposed exports of International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) and Export Control Administration (EAR) controlled hardware, software, technical data and defense services to foreign entities
- Participates as the technical member of the DTSA Triad to ensure a complete and balanced DTSA position on all technology security issues
- Conducts technical reviews and assessments on foreign investments in U.S. Defense companies, exceptions to U.S. National Disclosure, Policy, Public Affairs Security Reviews, Science & Technology exchanges and Foreign Military sales
- Provides in-depth technical guidance to JSF, Missile Defense and Future Combat Systems program managers to assist in development of technology release roadmap for international cooperative programs
- Initiates and leads technical working groups to develop specific technology security recommendations to DoD senior leadership
