GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that
he has approved the appointment of Lt. Gen. Charles E. Franklin,
United States Air Force, on the retired list in the grade of
lieutenant general, effective Sept. 1, 1996.
Franklin is
currently serving as commander, Electronic Systems Center,
Hanscom AFB, Mass.
Franklin was born July 17, 1938, in Birmingham, Ala.
