GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William Perry announced today that the
President has nominated Maj. Gen. Ronald R. Blanck, United States
Army, for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general and
assignment as Commanding General, United States Army Medical
Command/The Surgeon General, United States Army, Falls Church,
Va. Since October 1992, he has served as the Commanding General,
Walter Reed Army Medical Center/North Atlantic Health Service
Support Activity, Washington, D.C.
Maj. Gen. Blanck was born on Oct. 8, 1941, in Manheim, Penn.
