Flag Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced today that the President has nominated Navy Vice Adm. James G. Stavridis, for appointment to the grade of admiral and assignment as Commander, U.S. Southern Command, Miami, Fla. Stavridis is currently serving as Senior Military assistant to the Secretary of Defense, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. |
