GENERAL OFFICER ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary of Defense William J. Perry announced today that the
President has nominated Colonel Frank A. Avallone, Army National
Guard of the United States, for promotion to the grade of
brigadier general, Reserve of the Army. Since October 1994, he
has served as Assistant Adjutant General, Connecticut Army
National Guard.
Colonel Avallone was born on June 24, 1941, in New Haven,
Connecticut.
