Flag Officer Announcements

Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced today that the President has made the following nominations:
 
Navy Capt. Joseph P. Aucoin has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Aucoin is currently serving as head, Program Planning and Development Branch, N801, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, D.C.
 
Navy Capt. Terry J. Benedict has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Benedict is currently serving as technical director, Strategic Systems Program, Washington, D.C.
 
Navy Capt. Patrick H. Brady has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Brady is currently serving as major program manager for the Seawolf program, program executive officer for submarines, Washington, D.C.
 
Navy Capt. Ted N. Branch has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Branch is currently serving as special assistant to the commander, Naval Air Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, San Diego, Calif.
 
Navy Capt. Paul J. Bushong has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Bushong is currently serving as executive assistant to the commander, Supreme Allied Command Europe, Shape, Mons, Belgium.
 
Navy Capt. James F. Caldwell Jr. has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Caldwell is currently serving as assistant deputy director for Europe, NATO, Russia and Africa, J5, Joint Staff, Washington, D.C.
 
Navy Capt. Thomas H. Copeman III has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Copeman is currently serving as chief of staff, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, San Diego, Calif.
 
Navy Capt. Samuel J. Cox has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Cox is currently serving as commanding officer, Joint Intelligence Center, U.S. Central Command, Tampa, Fla.
 
 Navy Capt. Philip S. Davidson has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Davidson is currently serving as executive assistant to the deputy chief of naval Operations for information, plans, and strategy, N3/N5, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, D.C.
 
Navy Capt. Kevin M. Donegan has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Donegan is currently serving as special assistant to the commander, Naval Air Force, U.S. Atlantic Fleet, Norfolk, Va.
 
Navy Capt. Patrick Driscoll has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Driscoll is currently serving as executive assistant to the vice chief of Naval operations, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, D.C.
 
Navy Capt. David A. Dunaway has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Dunaway is currently serving as major program manager for Anti-Submarine Warfare Program, program executive officer for aviation, Patuxent River, Md.
 
Navy Capt. Earl L. Gay has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Gay is currently serving as director, Navy House Liaison Office, Office of Legislative Affairs, Washington, D.C.
 
Navy Capt. Mark D. Guadagnini has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Guadagnini is currently serving as director, Aviation Officer Career Management Division, PERS 43, Navy Personnel Command, Millington, Tenn.
 
Navy Capt. Joseph A. Horn has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Horn is currently serving as head, Theater Air and Missile Defense Branch, N865, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, D.C.
 
Navy Capt. Anthony M. Kurta has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Kurta is currently serving as director, Surface Warfare Officer Career Management Division, PERS 41, Navy Personnel Command, Millington, Tenn.
 
Navy Capt. Richard B. Landolt has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Landolt is currently serving as executive assistant to the commander, Allied Joint Forces Command, Naples, Italy.
 
Navy Capt. Michael E. McMahon has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). McMahon is currently serving as supervisor, shipbuilding conversion and Repair, Newport News, Va.
 
Navy Capt. Sean A. Pybus has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Pybus is currently serving as commander, Naval Special Warfare Group One, San Diego, Calif.
 
Navy Capt. John M. Richardson has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Richardson is currently serving as assistant deputy director for regional operations, J3, Joint Staff, Washington, D.C.
 
Navy Capt. Michael S. Rogers has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Rogers is currently serving as director, Chairman's Action Group, Joint Staff, Washington, D.C.
 
Navy Capt. Thomas S. Rowden has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Rowden is currently serving as commanding officer, Surface Warfare Officers School Command, Newport, R.I.
 
Navy Capt. David G. Simpson has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Simpson is currently serving as assistant chief of staff for information systems, Seventh Fleet, Yokosuka, Japan.
 
Navy Capt. David W. Titley has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Titley is currently serving as commanding officer, Naval Oceanography Operations Command, Stennis Space Center, Miss.
