Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Mike Mullen announced the following flag officer assignments:
Rear Adm. (lower half) Philip H. Greene Jr., is being assigned as commander, combined joint task force - Horn of Africa, Camp Lemonier, Djibouti. Greene is currently serving as director, Navy Europe programs, resources, and support/director, transformation activities, U.S. Naval Forces Europe, Naples, Italy.
Rear Adm. (lower half)(selectee) Alton L. Stocks is being assigned as assistant deputy chief, health care operations, M3HB, bureau of medicine and surgery, Washington, D.C. Stocks is currently serving as force surgeon, U.S. Naval Forces Europe, Naples, Italy.
Rear Adm. (lower half)(selectee) John M. Richardson is being assigned as director, strategy and analysis, J5, U.S. Joint Forces Command, Norfolk, Va. Richardson is currently serving as assistant deputy director for regional operations, J3, Joint Staff, Washington, D.C.
