DoD Identifies Army Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Spc. Cody C. Grater, 20, of Spring Hill, Fla., died July 29 in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds suffered from enemy direct fire. He was assigned to the 407th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.
