General Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced that the President has nominated:
Army Lt. Gen. Thomas F. Metz for reappointment to the rank of lieutenant general and assignment as director, Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization, Arlington, Va. He is currently serving as deputy commanding general/chief of staff, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, Fort Monroe, Va. |
