General Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced that the President has nominated:
Lt. Gen. David P. Valcourt, U. S. Army, for reappointment to the rank of lieutenant general and assignment as deputy commanding general/chief of staff, U. S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, Fort Monroe, Va. He is currently serving as commanding general, Eighth U. S. Army/chief of staff, U. N. Command/Combined Forces Command/U. S. Forces Korea. |
