General Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced today that the President has nominated Army Lt. Gen. Walter L. Sharp for appointment to the grade of general and assignment as commander, United Nations Command/Combined Forces Command/U.S. Forces Korea. Sharp is currently serving as director, The Joint Staff, Washington, D.C. |
