General Officer Announcement
Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced today that the President has nominated Air Force Maj. Gen. Vern M. Findley II for appointment to the grade of lieutenant general with assignment as vice commander, Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Ill. Findley is currently serving as director, strategy, plans and policy, U.S. Central Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Fla. |
