Flag Officer Announcements
Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates announced today that the President has made the following nominations:
Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) Raymond E. Berube has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral upper half. Berube is currently serving as commander, Fleet and Industrial Supply Centers, San Diego, Calif.
Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) Richard R. Jeffries has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral upper half. Jeffries is currently serving as commander, Navy Medicine Capital Area and commander, National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, Md.
Navy Rear Adm. (lower half) David J. Smith has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral upper half. Smith is currently serving as joint staff surgeon, J4, Joint Staff, Washington, D.C.
